I've been wanting to invent a way for people who are suffering from dementia to remember their pasts. I would like to make a machine that can take pictures of the person when they were younger, then display them in front of them as if they're seeing those memories again.
The person would be able to see themselves with their family and friends at various ages, so they could remember all the good times they had together. It would give them something to look forward to every day and help them feel less alone.
My aunt has Alzheimer's disease, and she forgets everything. She was diagnosed about two years ago, and now her memory is getting worse by the day. I'm trying to find ways to help her remember things, but nothing seems to work. If I could invent anything, I'd love to create a machine that can read her mind and show her all the happy moments we shared when she was young.
I know it wouldn't bring back her memory, but maybe it would help her feel better knowing that she used to have a wonderful life.
I'm sure there are many people out there who would benefit from such a device. It would allow them to keep their memories alive even after they've lost their minds. It's sad to think about, but it's important to remember that there are others who are dealing with this problem right now. We need to do whatever we can to help them through these difficult times.
oh that would be awesome, my mother had vascular dementia as a result of being a type diabetic for most of her life. She passed away six months after my father passed away. Every day she would ask where my father was. Every day we would have to tell and then watch her grieve all over again. So after a month of this I stopped, and would say he is out walking the dog or gone shopping.
So that would be a wonderful invention.
I feel for you with your aunt, it is a terrible thing and heartbreaking.
Thank you for your kind message. I am deeply sorry to hear about your father and mother and wish you all the best during this time.
Thank you!
