I WOULD HAVE CHOSEN TO GO BACK TO MY EARLY TWENTIES IF I COULD!

Hi guys,I still remain @Cherylsonty,and am very glad to participate in this amazing challenge by @galenkp.

First of all,it was quite very easy for me to hop into this challenge because I have actually been pondering on this lately and somehow I could only wish I could turn back the hands of time.

So guys, this is my pick amongst all other options

🕥WHAT AGE

  • What age would you like to be if you had the ability to choose a given point in your life, past or future, and why?

For me,the age I would love to be if I had the opportunity to change or take back times would be my early twenties when I was still in my undergraduate days.

Back then when I was in school,I had so many opportunities to equip myself with skills at almost a zero cost,a higher institution is a place where you meet different individuals with diverse skills and because almost everyone stays within the school environment, it's usually easy to meet up and learn whatever you want to learn but then I was never open to such opportunities and the enlightenment wasn't really there,so when I look back these days I could only wish I utilized those opportunities when I had them.

It's no longer easy for me these days because currently I have a family of my own and kids to take care of which demand my attention,so I can no longer do anything as much as I would have wanted to do because they all have to be factored in everything because it's my responsibility to take care of them, also these days you have to pay to learn almost everything,it wasn't like that before because back then one had colleagues, lodge mates, church members who would always be willing to put you through in anything you wanted to learn as long as they had a good knowledge of it,but then I missed because I was only focused on my studies alone not realising that it wasn't all there is to being an undergraduate.

It's not like I can't still learn anything I want now,I only wish to take back the hands of time because back then it was much easier, less expensive and there was so much time to dedicate to a particular thing one would have wanted to learn that's why these days I usually advice undergraduates to engage themselves with as many skills as they would want why still in school because once you are out,you would have to pay more for it and you wouldn't have it easy as it would have been before.

For example currently it's difficult for me to take up anything that is in a location different from where I reside because I would have to think of what it is going to happen to my kids if am absent, their welfare and all, even if I want to do it online,it's still limited because I would have other things to sort out,the picture is quite different when it's only you,you can decide to do something for yourself the whole day and wouldn't have to bother about anything else. That's it guys,if only I could!

Thanks so much for reading,I still remain @cherysonty!

I totally get you! I can say the same for myself. In my case, I helped my mum out at her shop and while that was good for my communication skills and also my knowledge of running a business, I wished I learned some other hands-on skills at the time.

Sadly we can't change that, but going forward I have decided to utilize every good opportunity I get,and even when my kids grow to a certain level when I know the can take good care of themselves,I won't hesitate to achieve all I have ever wished for.

Hi there @cherylsonty

Unfortunately you have not followed the rules of the community - using @galenkp's image without his permission is image theft. There is even a note on the side of the image that states "unless your name is galenkp you are not permitted to use this image".

As a result I will be muting your post and I think you owe Galenkp an apology as well.

Helo @andrastia, am sorry about that,I thought we could use the image since it was portraying the theme for the week's challenge and I also stated the image source,I have edited the image from the post,I apology for my negligence

You don't use anyone else's image EVER! They are not free to use.

In my post I say the images are mine, on the image you stole there is text saying you cannot use it unless you are me.

Link sourcing an image only works if you have taken the image from a free image site like Pixabay or Unsplash. Taking images from anywhere else is theft. Like you did with mine.

My moderator has addressed it and muted your post...Had I seen it I would have downvoted it (and anything else in your feed I decided needed a downvote) and reported you also.

Just so you are clear, you don't use someone else's image ever, for any reason, unless you have written approval. Use free image sites only, Pixabay, Unsplash, Pexels and so on. Correctly link source them too.

I'll be checking your feed from time to time and will address anything I deem necessary.

Also, apologising to @andrastia is pointless, you didn't steal her image, you stole mine.

I clearly understand now,am sorry for using your image on the post @galenkp,I hope you do forgive me and I assure you it would never happen again, thanks

Thank you for your apology, I appreciate it.
