One of the joys of life is finding something you enjoy, and then doing it well - so long as it's right. I enjoy to do a number of things, ranging through different aspects of life. From exploring new things, visiting new places and hanging out with friends to things like writing and designing. One that I really enjoy and will be glad to share about is the design aspect.

Guess you may be wondering, "what sort of design?". Of course, you're right. One might say fashion design? No. Or interior design? Well...not really into it but there is the idea. How about then, graphics design? Yes, you're right. And I just enjoy doing that.

More than enjoying graphics design, it became a passion for me. It was not just about picking and putting together shapes, colours, elements, pictures and all that pertains to designing; as maybe understood passively. Not so, but rather that passionate appeal for creating designs that resonates with the interest and desires of clients, and also creating a face for brands and businesses.

Having learnt this skill for a couple of years, I found much joy in that, "oh, I love it", "this is wonderful", "it's beautiful", "this was beyond what I expected"...those feedbacks that come from clients and brands; even as they send me my paycheck. Beyond receiving the reward for my services, this has been a big reason why I enjoy doing this particular thing or skill.

Okay so, I didn't venture into this as a kid, it was something I came to like at some point in my grown age. Maybe this was due to my desire for creativity and creating new things. It was just one good day when I saw this flyer advert online for a graphic design class, and boom! I registered. That then began my journey to something I heartily enjoy doing today.

Carrying out some of these design tasks can be tiring and exhausting. Like when you duly follow the principles and elements of design to bring out something as best as possible, yet the client insist they want it the other way around which doesn't even agree to the design rules. What do you do then? Situations also like when you have to adjust, readjust and readjust a design because the client keeps changing and changing things. Tiring! Another one is not being valued much for your work through the price clients tend to tag your work. Exhausting!

Amidst it all, I remain resolute in doing this almost anytime and any day. The joy of creating something graphically from mere human details, and communicating it in that sense such that it passes the information in an appealing responsive way to the audience just keeps astonishing me. Hence, that joy and pleasure for me in doing these designs.

I think graphics design has come to a point for me where you can picture it like a child playing in the sand and getting lost in it, also in the fact the he or she might get spanked for doing so. Well, in my case I won't be spanked - chuckles.
