The Significance of Having A Dream For Future Concern

"The poorest people in the world are the people without dreams." I once heard this quote from a certain person who was teaching a long time ago. Beginning that day, I have never forgotten that statement. I always kept in mind this quote and frequently shared with my students the significance of having a dream in our life if we are concerned about our future. We all have these in life and it’s important to have them because without them we won’t work hard to achieve our goals. You will just wait for what might happen to you in the future. Your dream is your guide or roadmap as to what path you would take to have a wonderful life in the future.

Hello, dear hive friends! Today's blog is my entry into a very interesting topic created in this community by @galenkp. This topic motivated me to share the principles I believe in. And that is don't stop dreaming and believing in your dream for your future. So today, I will share with you the importance of having a dream and how this dream affects the better version of my future and my children's future.

When I was still a child, I dream of becoming a professional teacher someday. I want to finish my studies even though how difficult it was to achieve. I want to experience a comfortable life. Not only for myself but for my entire family such as my parents, brother, and sister. More importantly, the life of my children when I got married.

God answers all my prayers. I became a professional teacher. And presently employed in a public institution. During my first five years of teaching, I dream to be promoted, from teacher 1 to teacher 3. When I became a teacher 3, I said to myself, “I will be a master teacher at the age of 40”. But luckily, I was promoted to Master Teacher 1 at the age of 33 or after 9 years and 9 months of service. God allows these things to happen for a reason. He gave me a lot of responsibility. He served me as his instrument for the realization of others' dreams in life. I financed the college education of my brother and sister and the half-brothers of my husband. I supported my parents and my brothers and sister when they don't have any. God gave me a huge responsibility and a great challenge. But I succeeded. They all finished their studies with all my support.

My work is my bread and butter. I don't have any business. So, the only way to enhance my means of living is through promotion. That's why right now I'm praying that God will grant again my wish that someday my appointment as master teacher 2 will be now in my hand.

Why do I always dream of a promotion? to have passive income, extra job? Yes, I dream of them all because all these are for my future, the future of my children. That someday they will also be successful in their life. Someday they can have their jobs. Life is so short. When I will be out of their sight, I want that they can manage on their own and with their own family in the future.

Aside from promotion, passive income, and having an extra job. I am always praying for good health because health is wealth. I still have a plan to travel around the world when I will retire soon. I want to explore the beauty of life while traveling. I want to experience the feeling of being a traveler. A life where you will not be in a hurry anymore because you are free. Free to do the things you wanna do.
