Secret Paradise

I was intrigued when this place became viral over social media. A lot of the people I know posted about this place. This place is called "Secret Paradise" which is located in the northernmost city of Cebu, Bogo City. To be exact, it is located in Baranggay Siocon, Nailon, Bogo City, Northern Cebu, Philippines.

We stopped by this place at Siocon, Nailon, Bogo City. This is where tourists and guests park there vehicles. We parked our motorcyle under the mango tree.

Here are the parking fees:

For motorcyle = ₱15.00
For tricycle = ₱20.00
For four wheeler vehicles = ₱30.00

In the opposite side of the parking area, on the left corner, you will see a signage pointing to the "Secret Paradise".

It was then about time to start walking. We just followed where the signage was pointing to. It was our first time to visit the place so it is essential to follow the signages for us not to get lost.

It was approximately a fifteen or twenty-minute walk to the beach. It depends on how fast you walk. It was a small road and vehicles could not pass by.

We got tired of walking and I am not such a fan of walking as well so this place is not such a wonderful place for me.

This is the place and upon arriving we saw other people as well. There were local sari-sari stores available in the place where you could buy liquors, snacks, and soda. There are also tables and chairs for rent.

I am such a dog-lover and I am amazed to see many dogs here at the Secret Paradise. I am happy to see all these fur babies enjoying the beach as well.

I have always been a fan of beaches and as much as I have some vacant time, I always see to it to visit the beach and have some relaxation. I love to hear the sound of the waves.

We brought our favorite snacks - Black Forest Cake, Pizza, and our favorite soda and vodka.

Nothing compares to eating your favorite snacks in front of the beach hearing the sound of the waves and the chirping birds. And it is always not just the food and the place but also the good company that you have and with whom you spend your time.

I always stand firm that ” All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” there must always be a balance between work and relaxation. That's why when I have spare time, I always make sure to spend quality time with my loved ones because it helps me keep my sanity.

If you were to ask me, I would rate this place a 5/10. The sand is white on the shoreline, and on the sea, the sand is kind of sticky so when you walk by it, you’ll feet will get stuck on the sand and I don’t like that feeling. The water is not that clear as well. Therefore, I don’t like this place that much. We have been to better beaches that offer finer sands and clearer waters for the same free admission. Plus, one thing I don’t like is that it is far from the highway so you really would need to walk a few miles to get to the beachfront.

Nevertheless, it is free of charge when you get here so if you are looking for a budget-friendly place, this one will suit you. It has also tables and chairs for rent so if you are planning to celebrate your birthday here or celebrate any other occasion, you’ll only be paying for the tables and chairs and not the admission fee per head. So it is indeed budget-friendly.

For me, it is fair enough a good view if you just want to sit around in front of the beach and feel the sea breeze and hear the sound of the waves. But if you want to go for a swim, I think this is not such an ideal place.

To sum up the day, we still had fun. All that really matters is who you are with when trying to have fun. Time to take a hot shower. Ciao!
