Experiences shape thoughts, thoughts shape feelings and feelings shape actions.
Warm greetings and hugs to all my beloved friends in the hive and @weekendexperiences. Today I want to try to participate in the theme initiated by our friend @galenkp.
We can learn from any experience. Including the experience of 3 years of joining the Scout movement. The experience in scouting certainly shapes each member into a good person to others.
And in this article I want to share an experience full of lessons from the inauguration of new scout members.
Last Sunday's activities were quite tiring for me, a girl who is quite spoiled and not very good at adapting. Starting from Wednesday, I filled in the material and then continued with training the students of SMP Fauzan to line up in preparation for the 17th August Independence Day commemoration of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.
Only one day later; on Thursday, the activities continued from Friday to Saturday afternoon. On Friday at around 2 pm after I took a photo of the Muslimah Mothers' Choir, my friends and I who also joined the Scout movement carried out the Scout Member inauguration program which took place at the 20 Garut Senior High School Field.
I went alone and walked because the distance from my house to school was quite close, approximately only half a kilometer. After I arrived, I then called all my friends from the same year and new members who would be inaugurated to gather to set up a tent to camp for one night.
Long story short, we had finished setting up the tent. At night around 9 o'clock, after I helped the Scout secretary to register the members who would be inaugurated, then we all held a Bonfire lighting ceremony accompanied by the reading of the Scout Oath and the Scout Ten Commandments by all members who would be inaugurated.
During the event, all the lights were turned off and only the Bonfire burned brightly in the darkness. The echo of the voices of the members reading the Ten Commandments, the Scout Oath and the Scout Promise filled the sky.
After the fire was lit, we all sang the Bonfire song enthusiastically at the same time
The fire was lit
its rays illuminate nature
light in pitch darkness
blushing in the silence of the night
God's creation fire
its rays illuminate nature
bonfire memorial fire
fire is a sign of fighting spirit
The Bonfire lighting ceremony finally ended with great emotion. The night sky was pitch black, decorated with stars that faithfully accompanied the moon. After ordering all the scouts who would be inaugurated, I and several friends maintained security by sitting in front of the almost extinguished bonfire.
the night passed, dawn rose accompanied by the echo of the call to prayer from various mosques. the wood used for the bonfire was now reduced to charcoal and some had become ashes.
the main event, namely the inauguration of new scout members, finally began at around nine in the morning. in the event, we as seniors in the scout movement provided insight into the importance of the values written in the scout oath and the ten darma implemented in everyday life.
religious values, humanitarian values, honesty and responsibility are very important in guiding a scout in living life in the midst of society. helping each other and loving fellow human beings and nature.
greetings of love and peace to all hivi members from all over the world. God bless us all.

Scout inauguration, awesome! 🥳 Shaping good folks is what it's all about. 👍
You are right. The goal of Scouting is to shape a good person. Although I did not adapt easily, but for three years Scouting educated me to be a little brave.
