Hello Hivers! Good day!
@itsmemic again and for today’s blog, I want to share our outreach program experience. This activity was part of our subject in Physiology, where we organized a donation drive to give goods to the community.
I was so excited when our class president announced the plan for a donation drive, especially because we would personally hand over the goods to the recipients. The thought of being able to share my blessings filled my heart with joy. I could already imagine the smiles on their faces, and that kept me motivated throughout the preparation.
Before the day of the donation, my classmates and I started repacking the rice we would distribute. As for the other items, each of us contributed by bringing one bar of soap, three small sachets of shampoo, and one pair of toothpaste sachets. Instead of canned goods, we decided to focus on hygiene kits for our donations. We all worked together during the repacking process to ensure everything was ready on time. It was truly a team effort, and this cooperation made the task much faster and smoother.
We aimed to provide assistance to two communities, with a total of 60 households. That’s 30 households per community—specifically in Anunang Norte/Sur and Gairan (Carbon)/Banban. To make the distribution more convenient, we prepared eco-bags to pack the goods. This way, the recipients wouldn’t have to worry about bringing their own bags, and it would make the process more organized. We also packed the rice into separate plastic bags to avoid any mess during distribution.
Before the actual distribution day, one of our classmates handed out parent consent forms to ensure our parents were informed, especially since the activity was scheduled for a Sunday.
The Day of Distribution
On the day of the distribution, I joined the group assigned to Anunang Norte. We rented a truck for the trip so we could all fit.
The truck was quite spacious, which made it comfortable for everyone. It didn’t have a roof, but it was perfect because it gave us more room to move around. Despite the heat, the lively jokes and laughter of my classmates kept the mood light and fun. We packed our own tumblers to remain hydrated, and some of us put on sunglasses or photochromic eyeglasses for UV protection.
We were surrounded by breathtaking scenery and stunning mountains on our journey to Anunang Norte. The trip was made much more enjoyable by the refreshing fresh air. Being a member of this group and participating in such a meaningful action together made me feel really thankful.
The Distribution
When we arrived, our psychology instructor asked us to take a group photo. My classmates also carried sacks and eco bags filled with goods for distribution.
My role during the activity was to guide the recipients—many of whom couldn’t write or had difficulty signing their names—on where to sign the acknowledgment form. After they signed, we handed over the goods to them.
Seeing the recipients’ genuine smiles was incredibly heartwarming. Even though what we gave was just a small thing, it was deeply fulfilling to know we brought joy to their day. Their happiness reminded me of the importance of helping others, no matter how simple the act.
After completing the distribution, my friends and I took a group photo, proudly showing off our departmental T-shirts. This was the shirt our class president had assigned us to wear during the activity, and it added a sense of unity and pride to our efforts.
And that’s it for my blog! I hope you enjoyed reading about our outreach experience. If you liked it, I’d greatly appreciate it if you could upvote, comment, or reblog my blog. Thank you in advance, and see you on my next post!

It truly was! It felt great to give back and see the smiles on their faces. 😊
What a wonderful program, this kind of initiative and as part of one of your subject is just truly amazing. It can teach you a lot and for sure, it made you feel good too. Not only you gave help to a lot of people but you handed them yourselves as well. Y'all made a lot of people happy with your goodness ✨✨❤️
Good job! @itsmemic you and your classmates outreach program is a great help to those people in Anunang Norte. 😊
Hygiene kits, that was thoughtful. Very well done. And indeed, that greenery is a nice sight.
