Hello my dear Hivers!

For today, I’ll be sharing with you our family gathering on my father’s side. It turns out they were having a house blessing.

Earlier that morning, my brother and papa went to the market, and coincidentally, my little brother bumped into the daughter of my papa’s sibling. She then invited my brother and said we should go to their house.

The lunch there was scheduled for noon, and at first, I really didn’t plan on going since both mama and papa had plans. My mama even told me, “Ate, go with Kit and Kinkin, okay?” But I replied, “They can go, Ma. I feel shy, and I’m also feeling lazy.”

A few minutes later, Mama said their plans got canceled, so it was now expected that we’d have lunch at the gathering. This time, I had to go since Papa was coming along, and he’d never let me stay at home just because I was feeling lazy. It’s also been a while since we last visited, so in the end, I went along too.

When 11 AM came, I started getting ready because it really takes me a while to finish. So I made sure to start early.

Five minutes later, since everyone was done changing, we headed out. At first, I thought we’d be using the car, but I was wrong, we had to take motorcycles instead, since there wouldn’t be any parking space if we brought the car. That’s why we took two motorcycles to fit all five of us.

My uncle's house is not that far, just about 10 minutes from ours.

When we got there, a number of people were already gathered, and yes, they were all my relatives. So I went and began blessing the elder, everybody was laughing when I almost presented my hand because I thought the person was my aunt, but it turned out to be a younger relative who was even younger than me! We all laughed very hard, and my shame immediately disappeared. HAHAHAHA. They even said, “Oh look, she forgot who’s who!” HAHAHAHAHA

When I finally went inside, the ones who welcomed me with a bless were my little cousins, and yes, they knew my name!

So there, we ate right away and had small talks and life updates.

Later, after finishing food, we had a little chitchat with our little cousins. They were super talkative and really jolly! Our topic was actually quite engaging, turns out, they’re even chattier than I am.

Now, you might be wondering what we were talking about? They brought up topics about crushes and relationships! While listening to them, I couldn’t stop smiling. I didn’t expect I was talking with my little cousins, most of them are only in Grade 1 to Grade 4!

Later on, we also took selfies with these cuties!

Then, a few minutes later, someone approached us, and not long after, she became very expressive and friendly. Her name is Isabel. And across from us, there was also a little girl playing alone. I asked my other cousin if she was Isabel’s sister because they looked alike. Turns out, Isabel’s younger sister was the opposite of her, very calm and not used to socializing. But as I observed, it looked like she was enjoying her alone time though.

And my dear Hivers, I’ll end my blog here for now. I’ll continue the rest of the story on the following day!
