Rediscovering Joy: A Weekend in the Province

GOING HOME

As the stressful weekdays come to an end, each of us perceives and desires a happy weekend experience. This is what I thought while taking a bus all the way to the province after work. Of course, my favorite spot is the window seat because it'll be more comfy for me, considering the long travel hours ahead.

For my love of taking photos, I was able to snap a beautiful sunset view, which made me even more filled with euphoria at the thought that I'm finally going home after a few months of not being able to return home for my internship. It was a long travel, yes, but I honestly felt not exhausted, just pure happiness and excitement.

1. Watched the sunrise.

At this time, I know it was still too early to get out of bed, but believe me, I had planned beforehand the night before I went to sleep that I would be waking up early the next day so that I could enjoy and cherish the day more. So, yes, I literally woke up bright and early and took this photo at exactly 5:37 am.

2. Took a morning walk with my furbaby.

This is my furbaby, Mochi, with his best friend. My furbaby is always inside the house, so I always make sure that every time I'm home, I take him for a stroll. Of course, one of his friends, whom we named after my brother, would guard him every time he's outside. Yes, it's so cute and heartwarming because he is really overprotective, and no other dogs could even bark loudly and aggressively at Mochi. He's always by his side. The right photo, by the way, was taken after a walk, showcasing my Mochi resting with his cute dirty little feet.

3. Went to the farm for a solo walk, gasping for more cool and fresh air.

Of course, being here drives my urge to be lost in the fresh breeze. The air in the countryside hits differently than in the city. That's why I made sure to have some me time, wandering at the farm, appreciating the beauty of nature and the simplicity of provincial life. It feels like stolen time to be here, and time is fleeting, so it's better to seize the whole day!

4. Visited my babies.

Yes, of course, I would always excitingly surprise my babies, my older sister and brother's kids, with just my presence, no presents, for now. 🥹 There will be a hundred hugs and kisses, and a stroll with them for quality time. While looking at them, my mind keeps saying, "They really just grow too fast, I still don't want hahaha." Why do children these days seem to grow so quickly? We, aunts, just like parents, are not yet ready.

5. Drove a motorcycle again.

Ever since I started college, I haven't been able to drive a motorcycle. So basically, it's been years already since the last time I drove. The reason is that I was way too exhausted and lazy back then, and I didn't bother or have time to drive again but rather chose to just be a passenger princess to my brother and cousins. Yes, I learned driving with a bike at first, with of course a bruise on my knees (me trusting the process), and then a motorcycle. My father would like me to learn driving four wheels, but I'm still not interested, because my inner self is not ready. So, at this moment, I just felt so happy, because I thought I already forgot, but thankfully I can still manage. 😀 We just brought trays of eggs from the neighboring place, by the way, and I've felt so happy.

On my younger days, this is where I usually go back then. It's either I'm gonna play volleyball, badminton, basketball, (yes I do play basketball with my girl cousins when I was a kid 🥲) or watch basketball matches. I'm happy that I was able to roam for a moment here again as it gives me the nostalgic feeling given the fun memories I've had at this certain place. But look what's funny now, the big guys can't still play because there's still small guys playing. Anyways, no problem, they had a lot of fun watching though. They even had been screaming, cheering for them.

Even though it was just a quick escape to the province, I can totally say that for the month of March, this was the best week so far. I'm able to spend time with my family, to try again something that I haven't done for a long time, and of course, to experience even just for a quick time the feeling I used to feel before.

To more marvelous weekend experiences for the upcoming months, to treasure and to share. Thank you so much for reading, dear Hivers. See you around! ( ˘ ³˘)♥

What a fun and lovely weekend you had as you were able to spend it in your home ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ. But I'm so inggit coz you know how to drive motorcycle. I want to learn, really, Mom want to teach me too. Pero may bumubulong sakin na huwag na mag aral HAHAHAHA. And you should go learn driving a four wheels. That would be so coooooool!

HAHAHAHAHA, if it comes in your interest again to learn how to drive a motorcycle, I suggest you better learn the bike first. I swear it'll be easier for you to navigate the motorcycle since you don't need to swing your leg over the saddle. I bet it'll be much easier driving four wheels even, but maybe soon. 😂

There's no place like home,

There is none, ma'am @chimegipamus. It's definitely where my heart belongs. ❤️

I thought you were just afraid of making mistakes and falling. It's good that eventually you learned how to drive. Next time, teach me how to ride a motorcycle. You know I wanted to travel around our province HAHAHAHA.

I really had the urge to learn driving that time, so I was never afraid of those circumstances. Okay, just tell me whenever you want, so that I can help you learn, @mswhimsical. 😂

Wonderful and another memorable experiences mam @jeannmazing.

Yesss sir, @natsve54. Thanks for stopping by. ❤️

It looks like an ideal weekend. Visiting loved ones is always an experience. I congratulate you for knowing how to ride a motorcycle. I think that one is automatic. I am interested in learning how to ride the bikes with manual gears. I hope I get a chance. Nice photos, one can sense the atmosphere and the noise where you were. Regards @jeannmazing

Yes sir, @aaalviarez, it was definitely a fantastic weekend experience. You're right, that motorcycle is automatic which is easy to drive. That was actually my first time driving my cousin's scooter since I've always been using traditional motorcycles with manual gears ever since. I had fun and was super amazed because it's definitely much easier. 😂 Thank you so much for reading my blog. I appreciate it a lot. ❤️
