The Dairy Queen Dip Cone

It has been nearly a year since we have been to our local DQ. A horribly managed location in Lake City, FL. We have stopped several times in this last year at the Live Oak location 20 miles to the west of us. Night and Day difference between them. Management is everything.

Well last night we decided to stop at our local DQ as we heard it was bought and had a new owner. We were skeptical when we arrived seeing/hearing 4 of the 5 employees were middle eastern in appearance with heavy indian accents. Most of the truck stops I have stopped at that are owned by people here thru immigration or work visas leave much to be desired. Usually straight up filthy and unkept. What a pleasant surprise on the friendly attitudes and politeness of the employees. And yes the owner also. The place was clean and the service was great. Credit where credit is due here. This local DQ ice cream shop that we had frequented for 20+ years monthly up until a year or so ago. Is now back on our list of places to go.
