Hello, Hive Friends! This is me again Kri, your travel momshie. I'm back with more budget-friendly " tepid" tips and lifelong adventures. For this adventure blog, I'm thrilled to share one of my greatest ride-or-die travel adventures with you.
My buddies and I identified as urban dwellers with a strong desire to travel. We are addicted and ecstatic about the exhilaration of adventure. We desire the thrill of adventure and the tranquility of nature that city life cannot provide. Weekends provide an opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle and let our hearts race.
We exchange our business clothing for outdoor gear and immerse ourselves in adventure. We're always seeking the next big thing, whether conquering mountains or catching waves, and we find renewal and a deeper connection to life outside of the concrete jungle. It's as if we rejuvenate by forgetting ourselves when we are in nature. It's like hitting the reset button for our busy minds and, by extension, our sanity. Whatever it is, we are hooked.
If you're an adventurer and nature lover like us, we've got you dear! Danasan Eco Park is highly recommended, and you shouldn't bother looking any further. This sanctuary is packed with outdoor activities and breathtaking natural beauty. It offers a great escape from the rush and bustle of city life, promising a refreshing experience surrounded by lush scenery and exciting things to do. So, if you're an adventurer and nature lover like me or just seeking a location to relax away from city pollution, Danasan has you covered.
Danasan Eco Park is situated on the border of Danao City and Asturias in Cebu, but it primarily falls under the jurisdiction of the City of Danao. Given its mountainous location, booking their accommodation and transportation in advance through their official website is a good idea. They offer shuttle services. We are only composed of six persons yet their shuttle can accommodate up to ten people; of course, the larger the group size, the lesser the price. As a pinoy budget-friendly traveler, we always opted for the “divide-divide” and “chip-in” thingy. Another travel hack that we did was we packed luggage full of instant noodles, biscuits, snacks, and 3-in-1 coffee “forda tipid” HAHAHA. Since we already know that the park is relatively secluded, being prepared with your supplies is advisable, and it is better to always be prepared. But don't get me wrong; they also have a restaurant where you can choose to order on the menu or whatever food you like to eat as long as the ingredients are available. TBH, Their food is superb!

Why did I say one of my rides-or-die travel experiences?
The ride going to Danasan Eco Park was quite challenging; let me tell you, getting there was no joke! I wouldn’t recommend driving there yourself – the road is crazy! It’s like a rollercoaster ride. I strongly recommend booking their shuttle service rather than driving your vehicle. The road to the park is incredibly challenging, with steep inclines and winding paths. Given the poor mobile signal and unreliable GPS in the area, getting lost is a real possibility. We met at Sands Danao early in the morning as suggested by Danasan's management; it is better to arrive early in the morning to enjoy the place longer and appreciate nature's beauty more. For the record, we already had the idea that it is on a mountainside, even though we knew it was uphill, but ohhh my goosssh, we didn’t expect it to be that steep, and what we didn’t expect was how challenging the road is going there. We underestimated the difficulty of the road. Can you imagine? The driver even had to turn off the air conditioning because of the steep ascent. I don’t recommend traveling in personal vehicles (they have shuttles) due to this difficult terrain unless you want another level of adventure. So better prepare your travel essentials and liniment oils with you because driving to Danasan is already an adventure itself!
Upon arrival, after the very challenging ride, the management welcomed us and gave us complementary drinks. Then we were shown where our room accommodation was; honestly, it was a huge place. We chose their room with no air conditioning because, in all honesty, the place itself was cold already.
Without further ado, we head to their ticket kiosk and check their adventure packages (you can choose whatever adventure packages you like). We decided to do their heart-pounding zip line, skybike, water activities, and the fun-filled experience of their ATV ride. Our adrenaline spirit declined when we saw their heart-dropping plunge; it was out of my capacity. All of the activities were safe, and the staff were well organized and shall I say that the price is right. Overall, we had a great experience while visiting the park.
Ready to create some unforgettable memories? Here is my recommendation for a Danasan Eco Park travel that you should experience firsthand.
If your main idea of relaxation is to connect with nature or if you prefer a slower pace, Danasan has plenty of opportunities to do so. Lace-up your trekking shoes and explore the park's lush forests and different ecosystems, which include towering trees and flowing waterfalls. You can also cool and enjoy yourself in their ever crystal-clear pool while indulging and listening to nature's music. Simply choose a tranquil area, put out a picnic blanket, and let the world drift away.
(wakeboarding is supremacy!)
Remember to keep an eye out for the park's vivid biodiversity, especially its beautiful bird sanctuary! As you go through the forest, look for colorful native plants and animals. Danasan is a wildlife paradise, where you can observe diverse species enjoying and living in their natural environment.
If you're considering a Danasan adventure, the best time to go is during the dry season. Check the weather forecast for sunny skies and less rain. Pack comfortable clothing, swimsuits, sunscreen, and insect repellent.
So, stay tuned for more practical, budget-friendly travel tips. Xiao!
To always Love,
Momshie Kri 🥀
