Using only food, create an image of yourself, take a photo of it and write at least 250 words about your food masterpiece of yourself.
Jesus! When you were a child did your mum not tell you not to play with your food!!!???? Grow up!!!!
Anyway I waited eagerly to see what would pop up in the Weekend Engagement community as food is always a very popular topic on Hive.
Lots of people posted about one of the other topic The last post - If this weekend was the last weekend that the Hive blockchain existed, what would you write in your last post. It almost felt so real, like everyone made out that the chain would really disappear next week 😣 But there was no food! What happened? I want my food!!!! I started this draft post last night when there was none but miraculous one brilliant one appeared over night from @jane1289.
Anyway, I thought I'd do one as well in case Lady Jane Bread feels a bit lonely, though mine is no way as elaborate as Lady Jane Bread. Let me introduce you to The Fuming Me.
I had limited ingredients at home. A good friend just came back from holiday and bought me a lovely bottle of basil infused olive oil. I also had a packet of smoked salmon and garlic oil infused king prawns sitting in the fridge for a week. The tomatoes were from my front garden, a couple have ripen since I took this photo. Plus the lettuce, was perfect to make a salad for lunch.
I didn't take any photos when I was making The Fuming Me as I had to handle the salmon and king prawns which were quite messy. The lettuce leaves is my head exploding with rage, the tomatoes on the side is blood shooting out from my ears, and the salmon is me trying very hard not to swear. And the olive oil is tears dripping down my face, but I deleted that photo by mistake 😅 This is how I feel when I see people cheating and abusing on Hive which happens more often than I would like, hence The Fuming Me
Since my mum taught me not to play with my food, I quickly deconstructed The Fuming Me after I took the photo and tucked into my lunch. Am feeling a lot better now. Peace.
By the way, I only realised afterwards the king prawns aren't real king prawns. The are made from white fish pretending to be king prawns. Yuck! Imposter and cheaters have crept into The Fuming Me!!!! 😡🤬😡

Bloody brilliant! As I said to Jane with her entry, this is exactly what I had in mind with this particular topic.
All I really hope for us for people to have some fun and show some creativity and you and Jane nailed it! Tha ks for getting involved...and I'm going to go out on a limb here and say, it looks like you make a bloody tasty seafood salad.
I have to say it wasn't a bad salad even after I'd been playing around with my food, I really love smoked salmon so that was a big bonus.
So glad I made the mark 😅

Actually it was my first reaction, when I saw the tasks for weekend writing by galenkp, that my mum also told us never play with food.That is why I decided to take another topic for WE writing. But I really love your idea and to tell the truth would never come up with such idea myself :)
PS: I love salmon and tomatoes.
Salmon is one of my favourite food, especially smoked salmon, absolutely love it. I'm not normally a fan of tomato but every thing taste especially delicious if you grow it your self

Salmon I am sure made up for fake prawns, you have to check everything of late in this flaky world we live in!
Braver than brave to find a rage in food decor, turned out pretty well, most probably tasted better after playing with your food building up an appetite 🙂
No wonder the tub of prawns were so cheap in the supermarket, teach me to check things carefully before I buy in future.
Hubby was waiting a little impatiently for his lunch, luckily it didn't take me very long to make The Fuming Me, and yes, it did taste quite nice after I was done with it ☺️
Oh they looked real enough, some effort put into fake prawns, it's always the taste that counts and freshness. !LOLZ
They looked real enough swimming in the pot of garlic oil, I thought it was odd how uniform they looked when I took them out. Well, at least its still fish, fortunately!
Fake shrimp cocktail made with shark meat was happening here about 20 years ago. Research fish, what to eat and what not to with dodgy additives. Now where have all the fresh fish gone?

You must really have a knack for detail. That was some detail there with the olive oil. Took me a while to see it though lol.

How beautifully you showed your skills in cooking by making food comparisons. Basil and olive oil seem to have saved the day. Smoked salmon and garlic oil should leave their one-week vacation now :)) Picking tomatoes from the garden must be the most enjoyable...
The best part was certainly the tomatoes, it feels so good to eat your own home grown food
