I have always thought that the important thing before starting with any objective, goal or project in our lives is to know where it will take us. Part of planning consists of structuring a series of small steps that allow us to obtain an outline of what our destination may be. If we don't have a plan, we will be wandering back and forth without a fixed direction, which can be very frustrating in the long run.
I have never liked to go blindly, I really don't enjoy the feeling of taking steps without a fixed intention, not knowing where I'm going. That's why I love to plan and am comfortable setting small goals that I know will lead me to something bigger. There are those who have labeled me as "the planning maniac" and yes, maybe I am, but when you plan ahead for any event or circumstance you are even able to predict obstacles and potential things that may turn out not so well and this in turn allows you to make a contingency plan, which is quite positive because then you don't end up collapsing in the middle of an unexpected situation. So basically, by planning you give yourself several options to act on.
Do you realize how positive "planning" is?
To plan aspects of my life in the short and medium term I usually carry my Bullet Journal with me. I have been using this tool for several years and with it I have become much more organized, and when I write my action plan I perceive my goals in a more tangible way and that gives me a dose of motivation. I will not deny it, there are times when planning gets out of my hands due to external factors that are impossible to control, but that is also part of life and even helps to get a different perspective of the action plan that we had structured.
And speaking of planning, it's about time to grab my agenda and start structuring the week that starts tomorrow. In the meantime, you can tell me if you like to structure plans or if you are just one of those who let life surprise them.
Thank you for reading this publication. See you next time!

I love to plan all my activities but sometimes, emergencies can as well shatter the plans.
I wish we were all so planned and organized, the world would be another, because this helps a lot, believe it or not, is a great potential, which you have here, I have tried, but it has cost me, however, I have achieved small step, that for me is a great achievement, beautiful your agenda, greetings.
I love all the Dutch doors in your journals!
There is a quote by Robert Burns - "the best-laid plans of mice and men often go astray." That is my life in a nutshell! No matter how carefully I plan, my clients always find a way to put those plans in a blender. 😅
These days I use time blocking to try to get around this - assigning 1 to 2 hour blocks to each client, and doing whatever they drop in my lap during that time. I still wind up having to juggle things most days, but at least it lets me feel like my pretty planner is good for SOMEthing! 😆
