Hello everyone! Here I am again for a new blog. How have your first two days of 2024 been? I hope it's treating you well. Anyway, allow me to take you all back to our last out and about with my little fam. These occurred days before we welcomed 2024. So, let's get started...
First up was in Tabunok. For context, Tabunok is one of the barangays in Talisay City, Cebu, Philippines where we nestled. My sister was queuing to withdraw some cash. Expect this kind of scene being customers-filled during holidays. My sister was just so patient to wait for her turn. Look how simple she was (third to the last in line).
People were all really busy prepping up for the New Year. Mind you, it was already 11 am. So, the sun's heat was no joke. But I guess overtime, Filipinos have kind of grown immune to it. After all, it's not our first time living in the Philippines. What's most important is we're all ready with the weapons— sunscreen & umbrella.
Me in my waiting era. How to beat it? Just take a lot of selfies. Don't bother with the passersby; they don't know you anyway. To be honest, it worked.
After the long wait to withdraw money, we head straight to Jollibee for our launch. Do you guys also have a Jollibee branch in your area? Hopefully you have, so we'll share the same sentiments.
What a sight to see. The place was rammed with customers. Everyone was taking and waiting for their orders. In situations like this, patience above all is what we need. We waited for a couple of minutes and stayed for a while in the waiting area. And then....the long wait is over.
I bet you can spot what we ordered. Of course spaghetti, chicken joy and french fries should always be on top. We opted for sprite as our drinks. I was not able to take a photo while some of these were still on the tray because we're all hungry. I was actually the one who carried the tray and knowing that we were on the second floor, I really have to be extra careful not to mess anything up. I succeeded still and we're just so ready to munch these goodies.
After we satisfied our hunger. We went straight to Gaisano-Tabunok Supermarket to purchase some essential items in preparation for New Year's Eve.
My sister can be seen in the photos picking up items she thinks we need. From the milk, meat and fruit section—she had it all figured out what to include in our shopping basket. You wanna ask about my presence? I also roamed around the supermarket finding my essentials. Supermarket-goers were also in full swing, so the scene we had witnessed was not a typical normal day in the Supermarket.
All done. Ready to pay...
We've got so much in our cart. You can probably guess how much we spend on all of these? It's actually a little pricey. But it's okay. Our Mom always told us that at some point, you have to spend your money on items that make you happy. At the end of the day, it's still about striking a balance between intentional spending and saving up.
After we paid and settled everything, we decided that it's time to head home.
Finally, we were able to hop on a jeepney. We were actually stuck in a little bit of a traffic situation on our way home but it's okay. We're used to it. What's more important is that we arrived safely.
That's it for today my dear, Hivers! I hope you enjoyed reading this blog. Until next time!
I'm sure you had fun day with your precious mother and sister (。♡‿♡。)
