Love, lust and desire are emotions that we feel in our human relationship with one another. While they kind of have what looks like similarities, there are still differences between each of these feelings. It is good for one to understand the differences between these three emotional feelings to avoid too many broken relationships.
While love is a deep connection and feeling one has for another, lust has to do with feeling sexual attraction for a person and desire means craving for something at all cost. While love has to do with patience,caring and understanding, one who is lusting after another won't have patience to keep trying if the other person is playing hard to get.

When in love, one doesn't go for physical attractions, it comes naturally and genuinely. When people are truly in love, that relationship existing between them is solidified by feelings of trust, oneness and selflessness. It is an unconditional feeling that stands out. Love is majorly centered on understanding and acceptance.
Lust is totally different from love. Lust is just a short term physical attraction that develops in a person for another. Some causes of identifying if one is lusting after another is giving them that attitude of "I'm not interested."
Immediately they see that, they just stop chasing the person and equally behave like they have never said anything to the person and their next move would be to look for another person to woo. In lust, once that physical feature that attracted one to another is no longer seen or the person is satisfied, the short lived feeling would die off.
Ok on the other hand, desire is when one craves for something like the person's life depends on it. Desire can be applied in different aspects of life endeavors like materialism, achievement, etc. Desire can help a broken relationship by the parties involved striving and longing to rebuild a healthy and happy relationship.
It is very necessary to understand the difference between these three emotions. I know many who have lost their mental health because they felt someone loved them not knowing it was all lusting.

While love is heart to heart thing, lust is a just a temporary feeling that is based on what the eyes can see.
Desire can involve love and lust. When you love someone, you desire to have an intimate relationship with the person, while lust is a desire to just have sex with a person out of just physical attraction.
