The best weekend of 2023

I never know when the next time I will have a chance to jot down my mind here. It's getting close to the end of 2023. I don't have many good things to say or encouraging words to give you but one, REMEMBER.

The weekend I remember most this year was Valentine's Day weekend. That was my brother's weeding. It seemed like yesterday, but it was already ten months. I remember the day we rented the whole club for our family to sing Karaoke even though we can't sing well, we can still dance and party. It was a time where three generations boogied and was the best time I had all year. The wedding was in the morning and we were surprisingly all there.

This too will pass

It's not strange that I don't have many pictures. I take pictures when I am bored. Others take pictures when they are having fun. For me the pictures just distract. It's been a year now and it was great to be back home, The only problem I had with that weekend was that it went by too quickly.

Overall this has been a very tough year with my youngest son starting 7th grade and running into problems with other kids and my oldest son having to deal with future military conscription. It's been very difficult and I don't have any easy answers for them.

It would be nice if I could party and forget everything, but there are a lot of things to do with work and home and very little strength left over in the end.

The top picture is my regular life. Seoul has good public transportation but I still spend too much time stuck in traffic. I think some things will clear up soon.

This post was written in response to the Weekend Engagement prompt 184. The pictures and story are my own. The youtube video at the bottom is not. I'm sharing this video because I like it and it depicts my mood best right now. When I was little my dad had a Jethro Tull albumn and I thought that was the artist's name. I had no idea that Jethro Tull was some dude from Oxford who knew how to spread seeds well.
