A Weekend RoadtripTogether with an Unexpected Photobooth Adventure!

Hello Hive friends! Today I want to share a simple but memorable part of my weekend. Sometimes the best moments come from things you didn’t really plan, and this story is one of those.

Last weekend, I went on a road trip with my friends Joyce and Jashcle. It was our first time to finally push through with this plan after so many months of talking about it. We decided to head to Pampanga, just to enjoy the drive, have stopovers, eat along the way, and simply enjoy each other’s company.

Along the road, everything felt light and fun. We sang random songs, shared stories, and laughed at silly things that only friends would find funny. After a couple of hours, we stopped at SM Pampanga to stretch our legs and look around the mall. We weren’t planning anything serious, just a casual stopover.

But as we walked inside, we stumbled upon this pink-colored photobooth. At first, we said, “Let’s just look.” But the photos displayed outside were so cute and neat that we couldn’t resist trying it out. It’s funny how something so small can instantly get our attention.

Before entering the booth, we had to insert an exact 100 pesos (around $2.5) for it to work. We laughed at ourselves while searching for bills and coins that would fit — parang scavenger hunt sa gitna ng mall!

Once it was activated, we saw different choices: classic photo, portrait, comic style, effect photo, or even an ID photo. After a bit of joking around, we chose the classic photo style, since we wanted something timeless for our first try.

The moment the countdown began, we turned into kids again — squeezing inside the booth, fixing our poses in seconds, and bursting into laughter because we didn’t know how to fit properly. Each flash of light captured not just our smiles but also our genuine happiness in that moment.

When the photos finally came out, we were surprised by how good they looked! Simple, but they carried the joy and fun of our spontaneous stop. It wasn’t about looking perfect — it was about freezing that exact moment of friendship and laughter.

That experience reminded me that trips don’t always need grand plans or expensive activities. Sometimes, the small detours and random finds along the way are what make them unforgettable. Who would’ve thought that a photobooth inside SM Pampanga would become one of the highlights of our road trip?

I’m really glad I got to share this with Joyce and Jashcle. This was our first road trip together, and I know it’s just the start of more adventures. For now, I’ll keep these photos as a special reminder that sometimes, the most unexpected stops can give you the sweetest memories.
