EATING OUT AND ABOUT: THE ULTIMATE FOODIE ADVENTURE

Hello, my Hive family. This is @queeniemary again. I hope you are all doing fine. I know many things are stressing you right now, but always remember that if you go to God, everything that's stressing you will go away.

So today, I am going to share with you my weekend experience that happened on saturday. Last month, our pastor announced that we were going to have a visitor who would stay with us for 3 days, which excited us. I already knew the visitor. Her name is Mary, just like mine. I met her in 2019, the first year she visited us, so I was excited. When she arrived at our church, we talked about a lot of things. But to make the story short, after 3 days of staying, we took her to Talisay for her medical mission.

COSINA CALSA

Saturday is the day when we will be taking her to Talisay, but before we took her there, she suggested that we eat first, so we looked for a place that served sea foods. We found a restaurant named "COSINA CALSA". It was easy to find this place because it is located on the side of the highway in Minglanilla, Cebu City.

When we entered the restaurant, I was amazed by the interior design because it was all antique and looked so classy. My attention was caught by the earthen vessel, or as we call it in the Philippines, "Banga". It was unique because you could wash your hands using this earthen vessel.

When I looked up, I saw a very unique design of the lights. They used wood as a holder for the lights, and it looked so classy. At the back, they placed old things or antiques to add some vintage designs. And for the lower part of the design, they decorated it with window-like structures, but instead of using glass, they used shells. Overall, the design was perfect and the color combination suited the design of the restaurant.

After taking in the sights of the restaurant, we started ordering since we were all hungry. We decided to eat at "Cosina Calsa" because our visitor wanted seafood. We ordered a seafood dish for her which included three types of seafood: shrimp, scallops, and mussels, along with corn. The sight of it made my mouth water because of the smell. As we began to eat, I was excited to taste it. When I tasted it, I forgot what I was saying at the time because it was so delicious. The sauce also perfectly complemented the food.

After we ate at Cosina Calsa, our visitor Mary suggested that we should have some Halo-Halo. It's been a long time since I had Halo-Halo, and I've missed eating that delicious dessert. We decided to find a place that serves Halo-Halo, so we crossed the highway and walked to a spot known for this dessert.

When we found a place that served Halo-Halo, we ordered immediately. The sight of the Halo-Halo made my mouth water. It was topped with ice cream, and mixed with peanuts, bananas, sago, super crunch, and many more ingredients. I can't remember all of them, but it had a variety of toppings. It was really tasty and not too sweet, which is why I liked it. The taste was just right, not overly sweet, making it an excellent choice for people who don't prefer sweet food or desserts.

After we ate, my stomach was so full that I could barely walk properly. But I was thankful for the blessing, and also to our visitor who treated us to very delicious food and dessert with @chimegipamus and @chaparlepez. After we ate, we escorted him to Talisay because it was getting late. After we dropped him off, we headed home. On the way, I saw a beautiful sunset and I captured it.
