The Home of Art: My Saturday in Molave Street

Hey there, rainebows! I’m back again, and again, with another blog! How have you guys been doing for the past few days? It feels like summer already, the sun is showing its brimming smile already. Yet, please remember that the heat we are experiencing right now isn’t the same heat we had before. Let’s stay hydrated, wear sunscreens, and protect ourselves from the excessive heat.

Before I proceed, I would like to ask, do you guys know Colon Street? The oldest street here in the Philippines? For everyone’s information, Colon Street is located here in Cebu City or the Sugbo. It’s really famous.

For today’s blog, I’m not going to talk about the famous streets, it’s actually the opposite. I’m going to take you guys into an unknown street of Cebu City, where art is represented in different ways. This is the kind of street that you can call “The Home of Art”.

📍Molave Street

On Saturday, April 6th, I discovered a wondrous sight and explored the exquisite side of the city. There are so many streets here in Cebu City that are famous because of its architecture and history. However, this street isn’t just an ordinary one. Molave Street is located near the Ayala Malls.

Molave Street holds an artistic way of representing its ambiance. Here are my observations why:

🌻The street murals are authentic and bright.
🌻The cars rarely go Cars on this street.
🌻The people here wear their chosen clothes. Everything that speaks its true self, and that’s art.
🌻The things that are sold in Molave Street are crafted by the owners themselves, they’re the artists of their own craft!
🌻The foods sold in Molave Street are a chef’s kiss. The sellers are so generous in giving the food. Plus, the food has its own unique taste, which you can only find it in Molave Street.
🌻There’s a music band in Molave Street that plays a cozy beat that perfectly matches the ambiance of the serene place.
🌻They have thrift stalls, and sell clothes that are beautifully made. The clothes with unique styles, the ones that aren’t trendy but once you wear them, you can really tell it’s beautiful.
🌻They sell flowers! The owners wrap it very keenly and gently.

The Home of Art

I call this street The Home of Art, since everything on this street conveys art. From the foods, clothes, murals, music band, and the people. If you are the type of person that greatly appreciates art, Molave Street might be your cozy stop. The Molave Street Market is open to everyone on Saturday afternoon, 4 pm.

I visited Molave Street last Saturday with my friend, and it was the first time. I was really in awe the whole time. I’m a person who really loves art, especially fashion. It was gratifying to see people wearing clothes that express themselves. Also, we bought food for a reasonable price.

📌The French Fries Overload! The fries weren’t oily, and the sauce was creamy and sweet. They also put cabbage and beef as toppings! They gave a generous amount of each ingredient, so YUM!

📌The Mango Sticky Rice! It’s really refreshing. The sticky rice isn’t so sweet, and the mango does taste a little bit sour. It contrasts with the sticky rice very well. They even put in a small amount of evaporated milk, which makes the mango sticky rice fairly flavored.

📌The Blueberry Moon and Kiwi Drink. It’s a fruit juice filled with actual blueberry and kiwi. It’s better than any lemonade!

We also even took pictures at different spots on Molave Street. Just know, that every spot is instagramable! The murials, natural vines, and the sunrays are perfect for any type of photography. Then, we went home with a smile on our faces.

Rainebows, what do you think? Molave Street isn’t famous, yet it has a beauty worth going for everyone. Grab your homies and experience the cozy ambiance together!

That’s all for everyone. Thank you so much for reading this blog! Take care everyone, and don’t forget to always stay hydrated. Also, guys what do you think of my footer? I just made them, but I'm very open for more ideas or what to put on my footer, since it's my first time making one.🌸
