Time will tell

We've only got a couple of hours in hand for 2023.

2024 is on the road at the moment, speeding towards our way, and soon enough it'll be at our doors.

Knock, knock!

It's paying a visit to every region, continent, and country. The schedule is fully packed, and time is short. Yet, time is the calendar year's best friend, a partner in crime, as they work hand in hand. 2024 has already managed to visit a few regions, as people in that region celebrate with family, loved ones, friends, fireworks, good food, and beverages. Some dance away and party the night away, and some stay indoors with their family and pets, under the warmth and protection of their homes.

I am the latter...

As I sit here and type in today's post, I look forward to a year of growth, kindness, opportunities, and unity. And hope, that I remain consistent and persistent in this journey ahead. So that my dreams come true, and from that, I fulfill my family's wishes, and many others, who are truly in need...

2023 has been a year of growth and opportunity. I certainly wasn't expecting this year to be this kind and considerate; not after what we had experienced in 2021/22. Fortunately, my loved ones and I were all present and in good health to experience a bit of success, some solitude, and peace, this year.

2023 had its ups and downs, life is never steady; yet, this time I took it all face-up and head to head. I rode the waves, the moderate-paced ups, and the abrupt and feisty downfalls too; I embraced it all, I welcomed difficulties and challenged myself.

Yes, I wasn't perfect throughout this year, not performing at 100%, but I did make some good decisions; from which came fruitful results. I know that I will continue to make mistakes, and I will slack off a bit, but I will also come back stronger than ever when the time is right, and when I am called upon.

I love how the last few months of 2023 have been the most momentous; every month in its own unique way.

September was about traveling with family and friends, creating memories, and adding it all to our digital and mental diaries. October was about facing hurdles and growing, a bit of time away from the usual routine as well, it was a bit more carefree. November was about exponential growth, and a newfound love for the things much older, especially the hobbies that I once used to cherish.

And December? It was a hectic one, full of challenges, a lot of work and stress, and very little sleep, leading to poor health. Yet, what can you do? You can't run away from the responsibilities that you've accepted and taken on.

I wish that 2024 brings us just as many opportunities, and hopefully, we will be able to secure them. For the problems that lie ahead, the hurdles along the path, I have this unshakeable belief of facing them together as a team and finding convenient solutions.

And last, but certainly not least, I hope that 2024 is kind to us all.

Happy New Year! 🍻

I'm very familiar with the quote you ended with. Whenever I come across it, the influence it has on my perspective of things is renewed; glad you put it up.

I was going to lead this comment with, "I am the latter too, and the paragraph after that confession of yours is a beautiful prayer that I could say for myself as well", but then, the quote intruded....

It's always a delight to read you. Pray tell if you don't mind, what are those old cherished hobbies? I have a feeling they'd be weird. :D

Cheers to the new year!

A random and simple quote sometimes provides a nice hint of motivation and sometimes a better POV on life. I love collecting such quotes, and sometimes I go scouring the net for them.

Watches and perfumes haha. Both go way back, by a decade or more.

Cheers to the new year!

Cheers! 🥃☮️

How cool is that.

Those could eat up my entire earning. Not weird at all. 😎

I'm not a collector, I just appreciate the art of watchmaking and perfumery. 😏

Oh! 😅 I see.

I also look forward to the year of greater opportunities and all of the things life has to offer
Happy new year in advance!

Happy New Year! 🥃🌃
