The squirrels are back for another #squirrelsunday
The selfish squirrel has claimed the bird feeder again. Nothing can move him from this spot.
The dove tried using a guilt trip on the squirrel below, please throw some seeds down for me I'm starving and I have a nest full of chicks to feed :-(
Never! This place belongs to me and I'm going to eat all these seeds by myself.
So the dove tried publish shaming by turning its back on the shameless squirrel. This didn't work of course and the squirrel kept pigging out.
Next the dark eyed junco tried a sneak attack on the bird feeder. But it bounced too loudly on the leaves and made the squirrel alert and he was rejected.
I am much too fast for you bird! No one will dislodge me!
The rabbit hatched an idea in his head on removing the squirrel. He will use himself as bait to lure a coyote to the bird feeder. His plan is to have the coyote leap up and eat the squirrel as he bounds to safety.
Sadly the coyote was too fast and ended up eating the rabbit with one quick bite. He never even got close to the bird feeder.
Legend has it this squirrel is still sitting in the bird feeder eating everything. Eventually his heart will give out and an owl will have to swoop down and finish him off.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
I have watched a hawk methodically pulling apart and eating a bird a few feet from our bird feeder 😳
I've seen it happen too, an with other animals realizing the hawk was busy and the move in on the feeder business as usual while the hawk shreds one of their feathered friends.
What a cunning squirrel! She took a bird feeder and sits eating, safe. 😄
I think the only thing that could dislodge her is another squirrel.
Thanks again @steemflow :-)
