Friends with a thousand faces
Hello everyone
How good question number 4 in this weekend's topics sounds, if I've ever lost a friend (by the way, if you want to check out this weekend's topics and participate, you can find them here), it's the 21st century and frankly these days I don't know what the word friend means or should mean.
We are such a fickle nation, we like to wear a thousand faces, we rejoice when something bad happens to our neighbor, we are mean, so lately for these reasons I have lost many friends (not in the sense that they have gone to heaven, but that we don't keep in touch) and I think I will lose a few more in the coming period.
I don't know if you've heard that here in Romania in the last few months everything went crazy, we had presidential elections that after a few days were canceled, people went crazy, there were massive protests in the capital of Romania, Bucharest, and that's how the world split into two parts, the supporters of the one who would have won the elections if they were not canceled and the supporters of the current government.
And so I lost a few more friends, because I didn't support the same person in the presidential elections and many other meaningless reasons, but after analyzing these situations I came to the conclusion that all those with whom I am no longer in touch today were not my real friends.
In my current life I can boast that I still have true friends(have you ever had so many friends that you could count them on the fingers of one hand, is that how it is with me?), a friendship that lasts through the mutual respect we have for each other, plus everything you read here are strictly events in my life.
Thank you to all of you who have chosen to visit my post.
THE END!

In the past I lost a lot of friends, they were not friends, they pretended to be friends to use me until I realised and I moved away from them, today I have only two friends and one of them is like my soul sister. It is preferable few and true... I can also count them on the fingers of my hands. Hugs!
You're right, I've been through similar experiences, but sometimes less pleasant things happen to us.
Have a great week ahead!
You too, have a great week!
😉
I'm sorry that you lost friends because of differences in political opinion.
My housemates and my childhood friends are my political like-minded people, so I have no problem breaking relations with them because of politics.
And just like you in Romania, there are big protests here in Serbia as well. in recent weeks in Istanbul and in North Macedonia because of a fire in a discotheque and the death of a large number of young people and children.
When it comes to politics, I am an eternal oppositionist, because I believe that no government is doing well and that it can always do better. This government of ours is now so messed up that the question is how everything will end here.
It seems that the future here in this part of Europe is not too rosy, unfortunately I have big question marks about what will happen in the next period, first of all I am worried about the situation in Romania (the interim president wants to send Romanian soldiers to Ukraine to keep the peace (I do not agree with this, it is not our war, I do not want more innocent people to die), then comes the situation in Serbia and in France and there are many other things that will not bring peace in Europe.
I don't want to get too deep into the political situation because I am not interested, we have a government so corrupt that Romania is going backwards in time instead of forwards.
I'll stop here, politics makes me a bit nauseous, that's it, I wish you all the week as you wish.
