When choosing between AI image-generation tools, the two I most often go to are Midjourney and ChatGPT. While Midjourney is absolutely fantastic to get stylized images, it's considerably less PRECISE than ChatGPT. But another area besides precision where I feel ChatGPT has the edge is photorealism. In this post I'll show you many examples of Conclave Arcana cards brought to life in images that are almost imperceptible from reality. Trying to do this in Midjourney is extremely difficult and requires a lot of trial and error, largely because when using a character reference image MJ has a tendency to also adopt STYLE to a certain degree.

These are so realistic looking that it is almost impossible to tell that they are not real... My favorite is the take on Matt, he is still recognizable as Yabanius. Did you take the card as a source for that image as well or did you blend real image and card image to get the end result?

I tried asking it to make these resemble specific people btw, but ChatGPT has pretty strict content policies so even saying something like "looks like Taylor Swift" gets flagged and it refuses to try.
