With that, I will analyze my experience by answering four central questions about my journey in the game: the biggest obstacles, the most difficult mechanics to master, advice for new players and the moments or people that most contributed to my growth.

The Biggest Obstacle to Learning Splinterlands

The biggest obstacle to learning "Splinterlands" was the initial learning curve, especially when it came to building competitive decks and understanding battle strategies. It requires players to master the synergy between cards, summoners, and specific battle rules. As a beginner in this game, I faced difficulties in building decks that would be effective against more experienced opponents, especially in the early leagues, such as Bronze and Rookie.

Another significant challenge was managing the Energy Capture Rate (ECR). Previously, it was about tracking the energy capture rate that determines the amount of Dark Energy Crystals (DEC) gained per battle. Nowadays, only "SPS" and "Glint" are gained.

At first, I didn't fully understand how the ECR worked and how it impacted earnings, which resulted in lower rewards than expected. In addition, the need to initially invest in the Summoner's Spellbook (US$ 10) to unlock rewards and full game features created an initial financial barrier.

The Mechanic That Took the Longest to Understand

Among the various mechanics, the one that took the longest to fully understand was the Mana system and the specific rules of each battle. In Splinterlands, each game has unique conditions, such as mana limitations or special rules (for example, in this game below with the "Explosive weaponry" rule, I used the summoner "Bella" to protect my cards from additional damage with the "Deflect" ability).

These restrictions and rules require players to constantly adjust their strategies, choosing cards based on mana cost, summoner type, and available abilities.

At first, I underestimated the importance of analyzing the opponent's recent matches, information available on the pre-battle screen. For example, if the opponent frequently used a death deck focused on magical attacks, it was crucial to build a deck with cards that neutralized this type of attack.

The delay in mastering this strategic analysis resulted in several early losses, as reported by other new players, who also faced losing streaks while learning to optimize their picks. Over time, they realized that understanding the nuances of the Mana Cap and battle rules was essential to building effective decks and increasing their chances of victory.

Advice for My Past Self and New Players

Based on my experience, I offer some valuable advice for both my past self and new players just starting out in Splinterlands:

Patience is Key: The game has a steep learning curve, especially for those unfamiliar with card games. Don't be discouraged by early losses. Even after 400+ games, my win rate was below 50%, but I saw losses as a learning experience. Now I can compete well in the Gold league.

Invest in Spellbook Strategically: Purchasing the Summoner’s Spellbook is essential to unlocking full rewards and features, but it’s important to plan your investment. Research the card market and consider renting powerful cards for low prices (some cost as little as $0.0004 per day) to improve your deck without a large upfront expense.

Study the Cards and the Market: Take the time to understand the cards' stats and abilities. Cards like "Quilliun Legionary" (with theThorns) or "Dread Tarafian" (with healing) are excellent for beginners as they have a great strategic impact. In addition, exploring the market to buy or rent cards can accelerate your progress.

Join the Community: Joining communities, one of the things that helped me a lot to evolve was participating in the weekly Splinterlands challenges, can provide valuable tips and support from more experienced players. Exchanging experiences with other players helps to accelerate learning and discover effective strategies.

These tips reflect some of what I learned about the importance of strategic planning and seeking knowledge from the community to progress in the game.

Olá pessoal, sejam bem vindos mais uma vez ao @dreloop07, hoje vou refleti os desafios, aprendizados e conquistas que muitos enfrentam ao mergulhar nesse universo dinâmico desse maravilhoso game de cartas @splinterlands.

Com isso, vou analisar minha a experiência respondendo a quatro perguntas centrais sobre sua trajetória no jogo: os maiores obstáculos, as mecânicas mais difíceis de dominar, conselhos para novos jogadores e os momentos ou pessoas que mais contribuíram para seu crescimento.

O Maior Obstáculo ao Aprender Splinterlands

O maior obstáculo ao aprender "Splinterlands" foi a curva de aprendizado inicial, especialmente no que diz respeito à construção de baralhos competitivos e à compreensão das estratégias de batalha. Exige que os jogadores dominem a sinergia entre cartas, invocadores e regras de batalha específicas. Na condição de iniciante nesse game, enfrentei dificuldades para montar baralhos que fossem eficazes contra oponentes mais experientes, especialmente nas ligas iniciais, como Bronze e Novato.

Conselhos para o Eu do Passado ou Novos Jogadores

Com base na minha experiência, ofereco conselhos valiosos tanto para meu eu do passado quanto para novos jogadores que estão começando em Splinterlands:

Paciência é Fundamental: O jogo tem uma curva de aprendizado acentuada, especialmente para quem não está familiarizado com jogos de cartas. Não desanime com as derrotas iniciais.
