The Accidental Confessions

Ade was laughing as he relaxed in his friend's living room, taking a look at the TV screen that was displaying the football match which had been shown on the TV. Just as usual, Ade and Tosin have their usual night conversation in the night, talking about the usual daily activities.

Tosin was surprised. "Which Jessica? Is it the same Jessica I knew of?. The same Jessica that almost killed your skull because she saw you chatting another girl up?". Tosin responded.

Ade smiled before responding. "Tosin, that was around 5 years ago na. Jessica has been like a monitoring spirit for me from then and even now. She always viewed every post I posted."

"Or probably, she is still interested in you, you can't tell"

"I don't think so" Ade laughed away the accusation from Tosin. "I guess she was just interested in knowing the state of my life now that we are no more together"

Tosin asked him. "But wait o, Ade let me ask you a question. Do you miss her, or let me say, do you still love her?"

"Love who? Jessica, no o. I did not love her again. Tosin my guy, we have all moved on". Ade responded immediately.

Along with their discussion, Ade's phone rang very loudly. Kunle stretched out his hand to pick up his phone from the other side of the chair. He was surprised to see the name on the phone.

It was Jessica Calling.

For the past 5 minutes, Jessica has been hearing what they have been saying. Well, Ade wasn't aware because his phone was not with him; he was lost in the discussion with Tosin, and also his phone was in active mode.

Ade was shocked. His phone has butt-dialled Jessica's Contact. And fortunately, she has been listening to everything He and Tosin have been saying for the past 5 minutes.

In a low voice, he called his friend's name. "Tosin"

"Yes, Ade, what happened?" Tosin responded.

"She has been on the call"

"Who has been on the call"

Ade turned the screen of the phone towards Tosin for him to see the name. It was so clear and bold. Jessica.

"Wow, that means she must have heard everything we have been saying all this while?" Tosin responded.

"Of course yes, she heard," Ade responded.

Ade knew who Jessica was. She was the kind of person that did not tolerate any nonsense. She will pour her mind to you to your face clearly, and she is a hot-tempered and highly jealous being.

Just as they were talking, a notification entered Ade's phone. It was a message from Jessica. "Hi Ade, we need to talk right now"

Ade can read from the message that it came with so much urgency and anger. He knew he was in soup.

"Ade, you better go and confront your devil," Tosin responded jokingly after seeing the message.

As Ade was about to respond to her message. "Hello Jessica, I can explain."

Another message came in. Of course, it was from Jessica again.

"Hello, Ade; I am outside your gate right now."

Ade was shocked. So fast.

'I wish you the best of luck." Tosin responded again after seeing the message.

With so much hesitation and fear of uncertainty, Ade left the room to meet Jessica at the gate waiting for what he will confront from her.
