Hello and welcome to my blog.

Mr Yusuf has been in the teaching career for more than ten years and he has a lot of success history. Ninety percent of the pupils and students he has taught does well in their internal and external examination.

Ojuola is a student in the same school where Yusuf teach but in another class. Ojuolape is an average performing pupil but very weak in Mathematics so she needed a private maths tutor. Mr Yusuf was summoned by the principal and the following conversations took place.

Principal: Mr Yusuf, I called you here because I know you are good at what you do.
Mr Yusuf: Thank you sir
Principal: Ojuolape in year three needs a tutor and I will be glad if you can take her
Mr Yusuf: No problems sir. I will. When is she willing to start.
Principal:By Monday next week.
Mr Yusuf: Ok sir till then.
With that,Mr Yusuf left the principal's office and continued his work.

Few months into the lesson,Mr Yusuf realized that Ojuolape is a special student and needs special attention so Mr Yusuf will play a game with her at the beginning of each class then relate the game to their topic. One day he used Ayo game to teach her addition, subtraction and division during evaluation time, Mr Yusuf was asking Ojuolape questions on what he haf just finished teaching her saying……

Mr Yusuf: How many holes makes up ile ayo
Ojuolape: Six ile ayo sir.
Mr Yusuf: Good. How many Omo ayo do we put in each ile ayo at the beginning of ayo game.
Ojuolape: We put six ayo seeds in each ile ayo sir.
Mr Yusuf: Very good. So what is the total of all the ayo seeds in all ile ayo at the beginning of the game.
Ojuolape: Twenty four sir.
Mr Yusuf: How many games can you win at once from the opponents side.
Ojuolape: Four or two.
Mr Yusuf: awesome. I need you to use this game methods to do exercises one to ten in your textbook and make sure you catch fun while at it.

Ojuolape did her sum and got everything right. Mr Yusuf taught her other topics using suitable games and at the end of the term she went from being an average pupil to being among one of the best in her class
