Gone those days.
“It is fifteen years now”, Daniels soliloquizes to himself though he is anxious just to be more aware of himself.
This is an opportunity to pay Cloud X a close visit to where he did his school-age days. However, his parents packed out of Cloud X close after his living school certification when he was eleven years old then, and has little significance of what happened earlier in his life over there. He has nothing left there apart from those places he and his friends go to play in all forms for enjoyment and entertainment. The river they swim in every day, the field where they play football every time, and his former school was a major significant he wished to visit. He soliloquizes to himself, “Those years of eat and play significance” he smirks, nodding his head sideways.
Daniels took his bike, put on his helmet, and zoomed his way straight down to his destination. He should have embarked on this trek earlier but he could not meet up due to the fact that he was permitted to pay such a visit after his second school day and now that he has graduated and acquired his Senior secondary school certification three weeks ago, he sees that it was time for the excursion, though the roads ride is just two hours so he knew it will be fast.
Getting to Cloud X close, he parked his bike gently, removed his helmet, and went in. Daniels was shocked by the development he saw there; everything had changed, and he couldn't even see one person he knew. He said to himself,” Well, I am still familiar with the route; let me go to the planned location. “he noticed that all their sharp routes and shortcuts were no longer available, but he still found other ways to improvise. Getting to their favorite football field, he couldn't believe his eyes. Then, the field was so big that whenever they played, it took six players aside, and a goalkeeper now looked as small as he couldn't even imagine. If he is to play on it now it will just be a man each. The goalpost, too, brought surprise to his imagination as it was so big then that they could dive, fly, and save the ball going to any angle, but right now, Daniels had the same height as the goalpost, and when he spread his hands, it touched both bars. “Oh growth !!“ he said, knowing that they were very little kids then.
He took some pictures and left for their favorite river, getting there, he could not stop laughing as he saw that they had been swimming in a swamp not a river, he can still remember the day his friend, Jade almost got sunk in this their so-called river that was now a swamp to his reality. The swamp is still there, allocated at the extreme end of the fence. Daniel kept reminiscing about different stunts pulled here, be it the somersaulted dive-in or the swimming competition that is held every day that gives different winners in daily activities. He left but couldn't find his school, and after making one or two inquiries, he confirmed the school had been demolished, and a mart had been built on it, which he went to confirm anyway.
After all his excursion, he put one thing to note as the journey revolves around. Growth is constant and tantamount. He thought from his nostalgia that he is still a kid, but after seeing that he has outgrown those places he has in his memory, “ he imagined how grown all his friends would have been.” he sat on his bike feeling contented and relieved. David puts on his helmet, starts his bike, and heads back home.
Getting home, his father, Mr. Daniels, asked how his excursion was, and he just hinted that growth had changed everything and nothing remains the same .” This dissolves his Nostalgia and sharpens his awareness,” he told his father, who was busy smiling, to his realization. Daniels heard a voice from the kitchen saying, “ Is he back?” and confirmed his mother, Mrs Daniels, was dishing out meals in the dining room.” Mother, I am back, “ Davids said. His mother came to the Parlour and sat beside him and said,” Can I tell you an experience of mine?” David said, " I am all ears," and she continued. During my younger days and after relocating for fifteen years just like you, I did not even realize it myself as you did, I went back thinking I hadn't changed but when I checked back and saw my friends grown and mature, I opened my mouth in gape and they also shouted that I have grown of age and some even claim I looked other than them. This was how I realized growth when I knew that growth looks still from within as change is not too vivid to the bearer. My oblivion to reality after such Nostalgia for the past was firm. She concluded.
Mr Daniels laughed out loud and they walked in together to the dining table to eat their dinner.

I think I will feel this way if I decide to visit my nursery school. All the tall tables, calenders and half walls will appear short😁.
