in The Ink Well2 years ago

Hello dear friends,

Today, I wanted to return to the challenge of the Ink Well, because the topic is offering a wide range of ideas and my first thought was Halloween.

Of course, I wanted to decorate it with my own drawing and I have chosen this one that I think fits so well to this topic too. First I wanted to present you the stages of my drawing, I have taken a source from pixabay and used a ball pen and my sketch boo.

My story: Boo!

It was October and for Emily it was one of her favourite time. In her school they usually prepare different type of pumpkins, like a lantern, carving our of wax and also drawings for Halloween. For Emily it was the time of preparing her costume, she loved to prepare some interesting costumes and it was different from for example Christmas because this time she could chose some scary one.

This time she knew that she definitely want to have a vampire make up and false fangs. Of course, she wanted to share this exciting idea with her mother but she was not sure if her mother will be happy with this idea. On other hand she that this is a Halloween just try, that is why after coming back from school she run to her mum with excitement:

  • Mum, I want to be a vampire for this year Halloween

The mother was surprised and just laughed:

  • What a nice joke!

Emily was irritated with this reaction:

  • It is not a joke, it is my wish. I always go as a princess or an angel, but I want to be a scary character this time.

The mother could not stop smiling while listening to Emily, the same time she thought for herself:

  • Where is my little, sweet daughter. She definitely is growing up. How fast the time passed.
    But loudly she only said:
  • It is not necessary to be a scary character, but you can scare people even being an angel, in such cases people do not expect that coming. What do you think?

(In reality, her mother has already prepared a costume, she simple cut out the shape of scull from nice and shine black cloth and sew on her white T-shirt, but of course, did not tell Emily yet.)
Emily needed a moment to think but then agreed, that it is a good idea, she does not need a scary make up but will use hair band like to look ordinary nice girl but then to scare people around. The mother had a sign of relief, her little daughter is still a child with a lot of fantasy but how long it will last. She wanted to enjoy these little moments of childhood with Emily as long as possible.
On the day of Halloween, Emily was dressed up and ready for their evening walk for “Trick or Treat”, she was ready at the door impatiently waiting for her friends. The the door bell rang.

  • It is for me, mum, my friends!, she cried running to the door.

Then she swung the door open and shouted: Bo
