Today I wanted to present you my fiction story and a first post in "the Ink well" community.
It was another summer and it was my favourite time, the school was over and we finally had our first school holiday. I was very excited because we had now three months off the school and could do whatever we wanted.
During the school time I have met many friends girls in my age but also who lived with me in the same area, actually even closer just opposite.
Everyday I woke up very early and rush to my friend’s house, the parents of both of our were at work, but she had a grandmother and she baked tasty bread bun some of them with jam and some with meat. That was another reason why I visited her so early because we always had nice breakfast. I also had a feeling that she loved to have us around her because while having breakfast we loved to hear her stories about old time and also about the time when she was young.
After breakfast we rushed out and our favourite place was a little valley and a small river. I could not swim, in opposite to my friend she was very good and she tried to teach me but it did not work. Nevertheless, I enjoyed just to be in water and pretend that I can swim.
After swimming we enjoyed lying on grass and look up to sky and read the clouds. It was quite and we could hear the tall trees. I loved that valley and for me that time it was very wide with high grass so that nobody could see us if we were lying there.
A year later I had to move with my family to another place and I left the little valley of our childhood.
Many years later I returned to that place but the place was different, the valley was quite small and flat and the trees were normal size and not really tall. When I think back I wonder if it was only me and me imagination or was it the magic of my childhood. The time when the trees were tall.

Welcome to the Inkwell, @seeger. Your story is evocative. That is one goal every writer tries to achieve: created an effect on the reader. The story has a gentle arc. It is a sort of reminiscence. Each of us can relate to that sense of childhood past. Each of us has emotionally rich experiences from the past.
