Childhood experience

Growing up as a child back was fun , because of the childhood friends, games and play we had. Stephanie was in a conversation with a neighbor Dorcas under a tree, Stephanie said to Dorcas. I could remember then while my mum will stock us up in the house obstructing us from going out in the day time. As a child then i always sneak out of the house like a theft, i and my younger sister. Before we would step out , i will make sure our mum is far asleep, i will whisper into her ears " mummy is sleeping, make sure you pull your shoes and hold them on your hands, then tip toe to the gate i will open the gate slowly so that mommy won't hear the sound of the gate" she will always reply by nodding her head like agama lizard. Though we never go out without completing our house chores. Whenever we are done playing going back home is another challenge, because we are scared of been beaten on like other children, Dorcas laugh so hard and said prisoners, so how will the both of you manage to return home, without been beaten by mum?. Ahh Stephanie replied we would both stay at the gate piping through the small holes by the gate side to see if mummy is outside or still in her room, hahahaha the moment we discover she's sitting outside, i will push sarah my kid sister to go first, because she is younger our mum might not flog us, but will refuse and wait for me to go first, hahaha so that all the blame will be on me, hmmmm lastly we will both entered the house ahhh the eyes mum will used to stir at us has beaten us already, Dorcas laugh out loud and fell on the ground. Sarah will try to engage mum in a conversation sometimes it will be our saving point.
Dorcas gave her own childhood experience as well, whenever we traveled to the village with my family, my grandma always serve all children in the house food in a very big stainless tray including myself and chidi knowing fully well that the children in the village will eat more than we do because of how they gobble the food so fast. This will be interesting Stephanie said "yes oh just listen" Dorcas replied laughing. We always eat little and get hungry at night, we will both observe hunger vigil. Sometimes our mom will remain some food for us to add up, but we will still not be satisfy. One Saturday morning, grandma prepared jellof rice, she served the food in the tray immediately it was cooked and everyone was ready to devour the food, the children gobble the food so fast, while i was still struggling and at the same time blowing air in the hot food on my my hand, before i could realize the food is almost finished, chidi has no option than to run away with the remaining food in the tray, they followed him , as he cried while running, then grandma ask him to give them the tray and we where given a plate of rice which we ate and was satisfied. Stephanie laughed so hard this is so funny she said, ahhh i believe those girls and boys who gobbled food so fast then are now grown up, they won't do that again, yes some are even married, Dorcas replied.

Stephanie said to Dorcas the children of this present generation never enjoy childhood that much, during our time it was fun and interesting, we had so much fun and i was able to create a very tangible relationship with friends, despite the children fight majority of my Friends are from childhood. Dorcas replied it was indeed fun , i miss my childhood , i wish I could just take back the hand of time for just few days jist to play like a child. Everyone has a great , amazing and wonderful experience during childhood, thank God I was not part of those who were been stocked into the house and always sneak out to play, Dorcas teased and they laugh so hard, Stephanie replied mine is better how about those that always take the grace of God to eat up to five spoon of rice from a heap of rice, Stephanie laugh so hard , she said i like your grandma she's only teaching you how to struggle for yourself in life through food, they both laugh and everyone departed from under the tree to their rooms.
