My Uncle's big ordeal
Image were generated with Meta Ai.
He made some signals to the three foreign guests from earlier and the woman amongst them stepped out to do something. In about two minutes she returned with a woman in a veil being led by the hand to where my sixth uncle stood. When they were at the stage, the older woman removed the veil from the bride to be's face and all of us were amazed. She was an albino lady. Gasps could be heard from every corner of the sitting room, mirroring our utmost surprise. No one had ever married an albino in my village, so this was a hard nut to chew.
To add salt to the injury, the village head also came in at that moment and what he said next was even more scary. "Linus hear me, hear me, if you go ahead to marry this woman, you will not live long. She is an ogbanje ( water spirit) and she will ruin you. Infact, the child she gave birth to is not yours but a seed from her kingdom to tie you down. Heed my warning and separate from her" he dropped the bomb shell and left our compound.

FINDING GOLD
He was still cutting the weed aggressively when his cutlass struck an object that brought out a different sound.
He was sure about what he heard, so he struck the cutlass at the exact point again, and it gave him the same sound.
Bolaji became joyous immediately. He has heard different stories about how some lucky farmers discover some hidden gold and treasures on farms. He always hoped that one day, that would be his case too and there he was. His story was about to change.
He started clearing the weeds that surrounded the side he cut the weed from, and he started digging.
He had only dug for about ten minutes when his cutlass hit a metallic box.

She Dropped The Bombshell And It Hurt
“Wow! I can't believe you did that and didn't inform me on time”, I told her and she kept saying she was sorry. After ending the call, I began to blame myself for getting all the materials even for cutting out of it. I decided since I wouldn't be using it for her,I would keep the ones remaining and use it for another customer who might need it.
It only hurt me that I had used some part of the materials which would no longer be useful since I am not sewing her dress. I learned through her actions that going forward, I would wait to get paid before I start cutting any fabric for anyone.

At another time Mika would have succumbed to such a tragedy, but she was no longer fragile. She had remade herself from the rubble, and with obvious inspiration from Yuf, she took the three gun rifle from his hands.
She fired with vehemence at every bat that came her way. Adrenaline was pushing her despite the fatigue and agony she felt. Just when she thought she couldn't take it anymore, she almost crashed into a metal door.
Her instinct led her to think that this was Drakiv's lair. She soon broke down the door, and once inside she saw with horror how the scientist was looking at her with a half-human, half-bat face.

But Always, A Warrior Comes Home
“The Galiath?” Akea’s voice went low as realization hit her. The Galiath wasn't a myth and the Royal Reigns were harboring a monster.
Centuries ago, the Royal Reigns was only a barren ground, home to a giant beast called Galiath. A group of men, the ancestors of the Reigns, discovered the land and wanted to keep it. So they made a pact with the beast. In return for the land, wealth, and power, they would sacrifice a bride to the beast every year without fail. The consequence of failing - Eternal damnation. Ever since then, the Royal Reigns had become the greatest Kingdom.

The Sun Sets Behind The Clouds
Pope was different in an otherworldly way. He was lanky and carried himself with such grace, you felt clumsy around him. He never smiled, but he never frowned either. He had this mask of indifference about him, like life couldn't bother him. You met him when you were making your library rounds in the town you just moved into. When you saw Pope studying the spine of a book titled Butter Honey Pig Bread, his hair falling in his eyes and his hands delicately drawing the book out of it's space, you felt curiosity brim in you. You wanted to know him and you wanted him to know you. So, you walked over to him and said, “That's a book that will lead you gently by the hands till the end. It won't rush you or…” You stuttered as his gray-eyed gaze fell upon you. Words escaped you for the first time in your life, except when you count the times you were a toddler and you were wrapping your tongue around words for the first time.
