Hyperspectral imaging dramatically ...

Two aeronautical engineers, Amandeep Panwar and Rishabh Choudhary, transformed their drone experiments into a practical solution for Indian farmers. While testing drones in Uttar Pradesh's fields, they discovered that many farmers struggled with early detection of crop issues like pests and diseases. This realization led them to establish BharatRohan in 2016.(Forbes India, The Hindu Business Line)

BharatRohan employs drones equipped with hyperspectral imaging to monitor crop health, enabling early identification of problems. Farmers receive timely, localized advice via WhatsApp, allowing them to address issues promptly and reduce unnecessary pesticide use. This approach not only cuts costs but also enhances crop yields.

Currently, BharatRohan supports 50,000 farmers across five Indian states, covering 200,000 acres. Their efforts have attracted $2.3 million in pre-IPO funding, underscoring the impact of integrating technology with traditional farming practices.(The Hindu Business Line)
