So my buddy called me last week and asked if I wanted any insulation for the building. I said "Sure, what's the catch?" and he told me it was getting pulled out of this building he was gutting and was fairly new (under ten years) and dry but I was going to have to come and pick it up. I told him that if I was coming into town with the truck that I would swing by.

"Can you get lend of a big trailer?" He asked.
"Probably, what do you need that for?"
"No, you're going to need it for the insulation."
"There's that much of it?"
"Uh, yeah"

He wasn't kidding.

This was after I had started to unload it and then remembered that I hadn't taken any photos of the full load. So I took a shot of what I had already unloaded.

It turns out that a lot of it was made for 2x12 rafters, which is the same as our building so it is going to save us about $2000 in costs to insulate the roof when the time comes. Luckily we have the space to store it while we are puttering away.

All in all, I think that the ten hours of work was worth it and others must think that too because three people stopped and asked if they could buy it and said they'd do all the work.

My buddy said I should have sold it for $1000 delivered but then I am only making $100/hour and I still will have to buy the nsulation for our place. As it stands, I like to think I was making $200/hour and then I don't have to make another trip to town.

Oh yeah, I also found out that the trailer wiring was sheared off of the plug and it's going to be about $200 to replace the harness and the plug so that was good to learn. I might have been somewhere for work and found that out when I don't have time to get it fixed.
