D Path race in Toronto

Been a bit since I've posted and honestly haven't been riding as much this past year due to a lack of motivation since my accident. Check out my last post if you're curious, but the ones closest to me question the DANGER PLANK. Miss riding with folks, but this was a great little event put on by Skate Invaders and my homie Jave found the spot! Nice little path that leads into a park hidden somewhere in Toronto. I raced with the amateurs due to falling at the start and gave some good competition lol.

Here's another shot from local photographer Bryan L always delivering the goods! In this picture, I lead my grom down the slope, his name is Franklin and he's been killing it since he started a few years ago. Now he's old enough to drive, hope to see him stoked on the hills again soon. Next time he will pass me I'm sure of it.

The new helmet looks so glossy that it could be photoshopped! Safety 3rd.

I may be smiling in this last shot, but this was actually the first run I took and the double drop with TKPs was way too sketchy for this fast spot. The locals may consider it mellow, but me being out of practice and never riding past 50KPH on this setup... I ate shit. The bandage on my knee in the other shots was self inflicted and once I stepped back on my comet cruiser (top mount saves lives) I had all the grip I needed again to stay on top of the deck.

Really wanting to get back to posting, but been lacking the media! Keep your eyes peeled for a few pump track videos, there's a brand new one that just opened up near me.

Good to see you back on board, and here posting!
It can definitely be a bit tough to get motivated again after an injury. That's part of why I try too take it easy, so I can lower my chance of getting injured again, and thus get to skate longer in theory.

Thanks @howweroll still out here, still missing the homies, still riding here and there! Wish I could say I was going hard when it happened or had a cool story to tell, but definitely more cautious these days. Hope you're doing well!
