Steve Caballero & Mike McGill dropped in to our local skatepark?

Just like my story on how former Bones Brigade team member Tony Hawk dropped in on our Friday session, one day, we were doing our regular Friday morning session at the 12' deep Clover Bowl at Vans in Huntington Beach when, all of a sudden, two somewhat familiar forms come skating in from the entrance.

As they get closer and closer, we realize it's Mike Mc Gill and Steve Caballero - legends from the Powell-Peralta Bones Brigade team of the '80s!

We were amazed and as we said hi to them, they said they were on a trip up to Powell headquarters in Santa Barbara and decided to stop at Vans.

(Of course, Steve Caballero has been sponsored by Vans and had a signature shoe on Vans almost his entire skate career, so there's that.

They skated casually, and didn't seem to be there to do anything insane or crazy, just feeling out the amazing Clover Bowl and then, just like that they were off on the rest of their trip.

That was an epic chance to skate with (and meet and photograph) some legends!

And the funny thing is, I just happened to be wearing my Powell-Peralta Skull and Sword t-shirt that day, so it was perfect!

Man you are so lucky meeting those 2 legends! Steve Caballero is one of my absolute favourites!

And wearing a Bones tee? Daaaaamn, that's sick hehe!

It was so cool. Yeah, complete coincidence - I usually wear Independent shirts!
