The skatehive team returns to Bless Skateshop to paint a Hive mural and test out the Hive Debit Card system to buy hard goods using HBD.
@web-gnar buys a skateboard after breaking his at the DIY the day prior. @xvlad helps film him explain using the Hive Debit Card while making a purchase at the shop.
This Hive Debit Card video was recorded towards the of the night, when everyone was kind of tired. I think we recorded it after we ate pizza, even.
While it was still light out, we walked to the hardware store and bought painting supplies for me to paint a mural on the electrical box outside the shop.
@xvlad told @blessskateshop i was going to paint the box before I even knew I was going to lol, so Bless had one of the homies scrape off all the old stickers and prepare it for me.
It was dark when I started painting and to be honest i was not stoked and was a little bit stressed out because who wants to paint in the dark? It was getting to be rush hour too and there was becoming a lot of foot traffic on the sidewark where i was working. I had NOTHING planned in my head of what to do haha.
so I just thought i would paint the top white and the bottom black:

But I just stayed focused and tried to make it look better than it did before i got there.
At this point in the mural process i was honestly stoked enough to be done with it lol. It looked so much nicer already. People were rolling through the shop mixing up Caipirinhas and handing them to me. I had to turn them down because I knew i wasnt going to finish this painting and we still had the debit card video to do.
So then my brain just decided to draw jesus with a hive heart lol.
I guess it made sense since the shop's name is Bless, but i didnt even realize that at the time. haha. The dudes came outside to see what i was doing and they were like "what the fuck dude why did you draw jesus" hahaha. I wasnt sure, it just seemed right.
But then I needed to make the skatehive part on the black part below:
It was actually starting to look kinda sick:

I was really quite tired after painting, probably not in the best shape to do the hive debit card video, but we did it anyway even though you can tell in the video im pretty tired.
I was super stoked to see they brought in another artist to finish painting the electrical box the next day and they even made it into a Tee Shirt and an NFT!
But we handled it, and i purchased a new board with Hive.

The idea we had here with Hive Debit and bless was to make skatehive Debit cards to get people excited and market both hive and skatehive. The reality of the situation is that we probably don't need to do this, because its actually easier to just scan a QR code with your phone than to carry around an NFC card with hive keys on it. ( i don't really 100 percent understand how it works... you have to refer to Vaipraonde's tutorial.)
The hive debit card system is a project by @starkerz and @jthomasewsky who are right now in Guatemala working at @buttcoins Hive Hub which is a yoga/wellbeing hostel on a beautiful lake with volcanos in the background. The skatehive team would have gone to this but the schedule didn't line up for us this time.

This Day is a one of best days in the Bless Skateshop !!! It was the day we saw that the dream would become reality!! It was as if I was standing watching and helping you guys in painting work. You know,you put life in your blog, I love it. Consuming content like this add more boost to my energy in promoting Hive knowing that, there are people who are doing great work to make sure Hive is touching people's life each day. If a Hive Debit Card could slowly become globally accepted, it would really make a difference.
I mean, can you imagine a day when the Hive Debit Card directly competes with the likes of Visa, etc. 🏧💳?
