I’m [tst]cautionfun, And I’m A Nominee For The Council Of Mortals!

in Gods On Chainlast year
Authored by @@cautionfun

All nominees have been asked to answer a 4-part questionnaire, and I decided to record a video of my responses!

Check it out, and leave a comment letting me know what you think! If you have any ideas for the Council, please feel free to reach out, I’m all ears. And most importantly, don’t forget to VOTE!

Here is a rough transcript of the questions, and my answers:

Question #1: “What can you contribute to the Council to help it achieve its goals?”

Well, I'm certainly committed to the growth and success of the game and the community, and I’m proud to say I've already shown that I can bring constructive proposals to the development team. During my first term, I can definitely say I was one of the more productive council members, with several of my proposals making into the Council agenda’s, and a few were even implemented and executed to great fanfare from the community. Minting and forging Welcome Set cards is a proposal and achievement I'm particularly proud of.

So, if I'm re-elected, I can continue to use my experience and knowledge to represent the views of the community and bring forward actionable proposals to help the team achieve its goals. I can also use my influence and platform to help promote the game and the community, and encourage more players to get involved and contribute to its success.

Question #2: “What made you want to be a part of the Council?”

What made me want to be a part of the Council is my love for the Gods Unchained community. I've been playing the game for over 3 years now, and I've seen how passionate and dedicated the players in this community are. When I heard about the Council and its role in representing the views of the community, I knew that I wanted to be a part of it. I want to contribute in any way I can, to help make the game better for everyone.

During my first term on the Council, I had the opportunity to work with other dedicated community members and provide feedback and proposals to the development team. It was a rewarding experience, and I felt like I was making a real difference. That's why I’m here, running for re-election. I want to continue to be a voice for the community and help make Gods Unchained the best it can be. I truly believe that this game has a ton a potential, and I want to play a role in helping to fulfill that potential.

Question #3: “What would you like to add to the council if anything was possible?”

If anything was possible, there are a few things I would like to add to the Council to help it achieve its goals. Firstly, I would like to address the issue of hidden names and the disparity in player info that brings about by recommending the implementation of user ID numbers in-game. Additionally, I would like to propose changes to the Council itself, such as holding meetings twice as frequently to ensure that all proposals and suggestions are heard, and to help the team communicate progress reports more effectively. I also want to focus on fortifying the Gods Unchained e-sports ecosystem by providing more resources and support for the community members and platforms that have helped the game grow. Finally, I would like to address some of the practical concerns that players have, such as release schedules, set rotations, and supply caps for future sets, by being more transparent and communicative about these issues.

Question #4: “Out of the last Council's Agenda, which one speaks the most to you?”

Of the topics discussed in previous Council meetings, the one that speaks to me the most is the issue of transparency and communication between the Gods Unchained development team and the community. I believe that open and honest communication is essential for any successful community-driven project, and I would like to continue to work towards improving this aspect of the game. I was particularly interested in the discussions around set rotations, supply caps, and release schedules, as I think these issues are crucial to maintaining a healthy player base and a thriving in-game economy. Additionally, I believe that addressing the concerns of players around the balance of the game and the competitiveness of the esports scene is crucial to the long-term success of Gods Unchained, and I would like to continue to work towards finding solutions to these challenges.
