Hello everyone,
a question that is asked pretty often is: "What are the benefits of shiny Cards?".
At the moment, there are no benefits.
(shiny Cards are Cards with higher quality than meteorite)
There you can see a list of the different qualities of cards, it from the forge.
Diamond quality is the best one.
But the shiny cards will get their benefits. In the future of Gods Unchained you will earn $GODS with every win. The amount of $GODS depends then on the quality of the cards you played with. So a deck with only diamond quality cards will earn the most. How much the benefit will be and when the new system will come, is not known at this point.
I personally have allready all common and rare corecards, because of this I only buy the welcome meteorite and shadow cards. At the moment there also is no other way to get welcome cards of higher quality out of the starshop. It is also nice, because you get shiny cards without useing $GODS to forge them.

I feel like a lot of us are waiting for the next step in the $GODS play to earn aspect. I currently do not hold a lot of shiney cards. So I am a little behind the curve as far as that goes.
Its not to late. I think most people do not realize that shinies will get more value soon.
Yea I just sadly do not have the funds. So I just grind what I can and make due. Someday I will get there. Only problem with that is by then the cards will be even more expensive. But that is just how it goes.
I also think its not too late to buy them, maybe they will go down in value more after the blessing of the Gods event ends and the new players will get less too. I like to buy shinys now also because for example shadows cost often less than 5xmeteorite cards, but would have a higher value because you need 5xmeteorite + $GODS + Flux. (the differenz is also because people just want to have the card in the deck and will just buy the cheapest).
In short, buying them now is a little bit specutativ, but to have some isnt a bad idea in my opinion.
Do you have to have all shine to get more $GODS or for example if you have 1 meteorite/30 you get a bit more and 2/30 you get more and going on
This is atm still unknown, the picture I posted in the post is all the information that we know atm. But I think and hope it is like 1 merorite/30 and so on, that not the whole deck has to be shiny to gain something.
Yeah because it makes sense to be like that it still encourages forging and it sounds like an appropriate reward system
