Strategy first: choose your deck
After the tutorial, I recommend trying the 'Solo' mode. Here you will play against a computer controlled opponent and you can try any deck or strategy you want.
In the 'Arena' tab of the game launcher, locate the 'Solo' panel and click the 'Choose Deck' button. NOTE: If 'Solo' does not appear on the left, navigate through the game modes as specified above.
You will be taken to the 'My Decks' screen (which you can also access by clicking the Workshop button in the bar at the top of your screen)

A PC enemy has its uses, but the real joy of card games is challenging another real enemy: a deadly compadre like you! It's time to check with stability the bread and butter that Gods Unchained has to offer: the player versus player (PvP) part.
By playing ranked matches, you will earn experience points and card packs as rewards for ranking up. You will earn experience points just by playing, even if you don't succeed this way. So go out there and do your best, but most importantly: have fun and don't stress about the little things.
In the 'Arena' tab, locate the 'Ranked' panel. Select a game mode of your choice by shuffling between the panels.
Click the 'Choose Deck' and 'Choose Equipment' button on the panel and follow the same procedure as before. Of course, this time you won't be able to select your opponent's deck!
Expand your power: open packages in the Temple
Every time you earn a tier, you'll earn packs as a reward, which will help you grow your arsenal of creatures and spells in the game.
Click the 'Open Packages' button in the bar at the top of your screen
Drag your package from the left to the center of the altar to open it.
Click on the back of each card to reveal what you have opened!
If you have more than one pack, click the 'Next Pack' button to get the rest of your goodies.
Hone your weapons - view your collection and build your own deck
With plenty of play time under your belt and a huge proportion of new cards, it's time to move on from the pre-made decks of the welcome pool to something far more unique and powerful: your own creation!
For guidance here, check out the community decks on GU Decks. These are deck suggestions for mortal companions. Searching for "starter" is a good way to see which decks are doing well in the Arena. You must have all the necessary cards for these decks, since they use the welcome set.
Click the 'Collections' tab at the top of your game launcher
You can view your entire collection and the rest of the cards in the game to plan ahead and strategize!
