My Nightmare experience reconstructed to add value to community

During the sale event of God's Unchained I purchased or wanted to only purchase 100 epic packs of Divine Order. It showed an api? error at the time saying purchased failed so I instinctively tried the purchase again and when it failed again I decided to scour different streams as I was on twitch at this moment. Then I noticed one of the streamers (Can't recall who at this moment) but it was one of the more regular streamers say that a smaller amount went through so I decided to try 50 at another fail. (150 extra epic packs were forced on me with no resolution)

At this time I was furious so I tried to do some digging to realize that all 3 orders went through so I instantly filed a support ticket to hearing them say there was nothing they can do about it. What later made this even worse is that they didn't even send out the packs in time incurring more loss because of such. They sent my last order first with 100 packs following that decent amount of hours later and last hundred packs following that much later.

This next part I definitely hold more accountability towards but it was the straw that broke the camels back for me as I saw how broken some cards were and decided to buy some up. For them all to literally be nerfed a couple days (Not even a week) into the whole process. That in turn negatively effected my account values yet again and I believe better due diligence could have been made on the teams R&D side.

I even later escalated it talking to various team members and nothing was ever done in resolution to the experience I have experienced.

So I started that event with cant recall how many hundreds of dollars was involved, as the overall experience was quite stressful. The eth at the time I put into the system was .8eth on top of what I had previously invested and as you can see my overall holdings now is barely .64 if everything were to sell at full value which realistically would probably be closer to .5-.55 eth. That whole incident not only cost me a great deal of eth, but also energy and high levels of stress.

Also take in mind I decided to fire sale a lot of the stuff off but looking back many of those even dropped in value so if I didn't firesale it off I may have hindsight incurred a bigger loss.

Sorry you maybe asking how does this add any value to the community well we can learn from ALL experiences even negative ones. So through what I experienced you can take away. And easy preventative measures the team could have taken to prevent others from experiencing such atrocities.

  1. Check balances after each transaction even if they are declared as a fail (They could put balance easily on purchase screen, but still didn't)
  2. Do not invest early during the set releases as they have a "rebalancing phase" to fix cards unless you want to take a high risk high reward approach(The team can easily invest more in R&D so that the rebalancing portion is less drastic as they literally nerfed dozens of cards)

This will be my only "rant" post detailing my personal opinions about the game/project, but I shouldn't let me from trying to create and add value to people so I will not be posting negatively about this on hive moving forward, but strategies and tips on how I can add value to the community. I have stayed away from this project until now due to the insane events that occured to me, but I'll do my best to try to add value here seeing as I no longer care about any of the ecosystem in this game I can unbiasly talk about various cards and my thoughts behind them.
There are wholesome content creators on twitch that always add value back to their communities like @copperpitch , fakemews, kargas, clutchgu, and lionsunchained are some great people to watch for this not sure if they have hive accounts so I didn't tag.

Glad you're still playing despite the insanity. Hopefully Immutable learned from the experience, too.

I'm not lol I literally quit that day they forced 150 extra epic packs on me without any action in the right step. I literally told acidyo and I'm just here to try to provide quality content to those that still do, but I'm thinking of it besides righting as I can probably do it from a beginners narrative. Played my first 2 games since then.
good to see you on here though you always provided pretty good content. It isn't right to force packs onto someone especially after they email you right after and then send packs ultra late with no steps taking to amend the situation?
I do get on token trove every now and then to do a little trades but sold off a large portion of the stuff that same day already
