Gadgets are Like Double-Edged Knives

This is not an object that is a sharp weapon, nor is it an explosive that can destroy hope, but this object will cause danger that may be as serious as sharp weapons and explosives. This object is a gadget, a communication and game tool which, if we are not intelligent and wise in using it, will have detrimental consequences.

Gadgets or other types of digital communication tools are often likened to a double-edged sword. This tool can be useful or harmful depending on how we use it. This communication tool can be used by all ages, so we as parents must be smart and wise in giving our children the freedom to use it.

In this post I want to share information about the consequences that can occur from children's use of gadgets if we are not able to control them, both in terms of time and content opened by children. 1. The child will experience speech delays
   Children who are allowed to use gadgets for a long time and this often causes children to experience limitations in communicating with the people around them. In early childhood this will result in delays in speaking ability.

2. Reduced interaction time between parents and children
   Young children need the right time to talk to their parents so they can learn new words and ways of communicating. If children use gadgets continuously, their time to interact with their parents becomes limited. This will affect children's interactions with their parents.

3. Children are at risk of exposure to radiation from gadgets
   WHO as the world health body has explained that cellphones and other wireless devices are considered risky because of their radiation emissions. The effect of radiation on the development of early childhood can indirectly result in them having the potential for eye pain, dizziness, poor memory, hyperactivity, and even the risk of brain tumors.

4. Children will have disturbed sleep patterns
   Children who are addicted to playing with gadgets can disrupt their sleep time so that they lose the rest time they need. This will of course have a direct effect on growth and development, where every child still needs the right sleep pattern to maximize their growth.

5. Children's characters will be formed according to the content they watch
   We all know that gadgets provide various content services. If children use gadgets, if they are not selective in opening content, it will greatly influence the formation of their children's character. As a result, children will have rude characters or become other detrimental individuals.
