Greetings, beloved!
Sleep is a natural phenomenon and it's essential for the well-being, growth, and survival of humans and animals. Sleep occurs in time and cycles. When that time clocks for the human body to rest, everyone must respect that time, for the sake of the body and mind to rest, calm, and function well for another day-to-day activity. Everything God created needs rest. God knew what he did, He created the day for men to work and created night for rest. But a lot of people have neglected the aspect of sleep due to business activities which isn't proper for the body. Understanding the internal body system should give you the optimal reason to sleep as it is due to good health and productivity.
Furthermore, during my research this morning, I discovered that sleep is regulated by the body's internal clock called circadian rhythm and homeostasis. These two internal body mechanisms have their functions to play when we sleep. The function is to control body temperature and the function of sleep and wakefulness. This is why we shouldn't skip our sleep, especially at night time. When that internal clock clicks, let's respect that, for our overall well-being.
People are dying of lack of sleep, people's bodies have broken down because of lack of sleep, they refuse to obey the body's internal clock, and some are rushed to the hospital for treatment because they haven't had enough sleep that would have helped them function well in their daily routine.
There was a day I had a busy day, and night came and I wanted to do my post, you see sleep respect and rest its clocks. I started typing half of the post and I knew sleep was overriding and overwhelming me to the point I couldn't control it myself. Before I slept off completely, I was sleep-typing and waking up to see those things I wrote, I laughed at myself. I was telling myself, see what sleep can do to you.
All the things God created, when night comes, you will not see those things functioning again. All animals will go to rest, flies will go and rest, and even the leaves rest, too. At night watched everywhere will be calm. And the only thing that does not allow me to sleep at night, most time, is mosquitoes 😂.
Sleep is natural, and it's beyond human control, and it's a mystery God has put in place from creation for humanity.
Overall, sleep is a natural phenomenon, and it should be respected. In the same way, we used to obey our external clock when we wanted to go to our business, that's the same way we should respect the body's internal clock just for the sake of our physical
and mental well-being. If we don't take it for granted, our bodies will function well for more productivity and responsiveness. Even in the afternoon time, sleep as well.
