I want to free myself

Buenas noches Sketchbook. Hoy he terminado un dibujo en el que estuve trabajando un par de días, realmente estas ultimas semanas a pesar de que logro aparentar normalidad me he sentido un poco extraña, cada día mas nostálgica, aburrida de la monotonía pero al mismo tiempo con miedo de romper la rutina, es extraño, pero asi me siento, a pesar de eso logre terminar este dibujo porque siento que me representa muy bien en este momento, esta vez hice algunas “locuras” y no quise hacer algo demasiado perfecto, jugué bastante con la herramienta de dedo que casi nunca la utilizo y me ayudo a hacer ese efecto que me gusto tanto, espero que les guste.

Good evening Sketchbook.
Today I finished a drawing that I've been working on for a couple of days, actually these last weeks even though I manage to look normal I've been feeling a bit strange, every day more and more nostalgic, bored of the monotony but at the same time afraid to break the routine, it's strange, but that's how I feel, in spite of that I managed to finish this drawing because I feel that it represents me very well at this moment, this time I did some “crazy things” and I didn't want to do something too perfect, I played a lot with the finger tool that I almost never use and it helped me to make that effect that I liked so much, I hope you like it.

Proceso/Process

Realice mi boceto y empecé a colorear la piel, utilice tonos bastante desaturados, en una nueva capa añadí mas colores para darle mejor forma al rostro, después mezcle los colores pero sin detallar demasiado, quería mantener ese efecto de pintura rustico, para el cabello use un color marrón oscuro e iluminé con marrón mas claro.

I made my sketch and started to color the skin, I used quite desaturated tones, in a new layer I added more colors to give better shape to the face, then I mixed the colors but without detailing too much, I wanted to keep that rustic painting effect, for the hair I used a dark brown color and illuminated with lighter brown.

El fondo fue difícil de elegir, al principio use un tono crema pero después de un rato no me gusto para nada, revise diferentes colores hasta que llegue a este verde olivo desaturado y me encantó, luego comencé a jugar con la herramienta de dedo esparciendo los colores hacia atrás y mezclando todo de manera bastante desordenada, agregue iluminaciones a los ojos nariz y labios, tambien hice un ajuste de color dándole un poco mas de saturación a la piel, tambien pensé en agregar un poco de luz a la silueta en la parte izquierda y tome un tono durazo y y cambie el ajuste de capa a “screen” para un resultado un poco mas luminoso.

The background was hard to choose, at first I used a cream tone but after a while I didn't like it at all, I checked different colors until I got to this desaturated olive green and I loved it, then I started to play with the finger tool spreading the colors backwards and mixing everything in a quite messy way, I added highlights to the eyes nose and lips, I also made a color adjustment giving a little more saturation to the skin, I also thought about adding a little light to the silhouette on the left side and I took a peach tone and changed the layer setting to “screen” for a little more luminous result.
