Urban dog (portrait of Mouse)

Portrait of my faithful friend Mouse.
This is an amazing dog. I first saw her in the city when she was a little puppy. It was a difficult period for me. We lost two puppies due to enteritis. They died in my arms despite all the efforts of the veterinarians and I could not recover after it. When I first saw Mouse... it was at that moment that my heart was given to her forever.

I have been to that place several times. I asked everyone who lived there and found out that this is a homeless puppy. Then I told my husband that I want to take her. He doubted because we already had three dogs. But I am not. I ended up going there on my birthday and picking her up. I declared that this was my birthday present and no one dared to argue with me.

Mouse is the most common mongrel dog. But she is very kind and wise. And she also loves to ride in a car so I take her on all my trips whenever possible.

You have started a new trend with those pictures :)

It seems so 😁

Lovely.

I don't know how did you make the portrait of your dog but it looks wonderful.
Description of her character reminds me a lot of my dog, although two of them are entirely different breeds. Besides that, I can see in her eyes that she is a very smart dog. She just looks that way. 🙂

I used two programs: Procreate and Mobile Photoshop. With the help of Procreate, I drew a portrait, and with the help of Mobile Photoshop I made a background.

WOW - Thank you so much for sharing this info! (I think I'll skip Photoshop and replace it with something else, but I'll surely take a look at Procreate.) Thank you, once again! 😀

Procreate will be enough to create something interesting. In addition, you have to pay for the Photoshop license every month, and the Procreate program can only be purchased once. It will cost about 10-15 dollars.

Thank you very much for this additional info, but unfortunately, I'll have to skip Procreate for now as it's built primarily for iOS, although they say it's one of the best such programs out there if not the best.

I made some additional digging around to see if there is a way to use it on PC (Windows), and I even found the way how to do it, but unfortunately, additional software needed and all this workaround would drain a bigger portion of my RAM and disc space which I'm not willing to "sacrifice" at the moment.

I'm considering now Krita for which they say it's a second-best Windows alternative for Procreate, and an entirely free, open-source program. The only cons might be some time needed to learn it, as it's described as a professional-grade drawing program but with tools that for an average user could be overwhelming, or in other words not so intuitively easy to use.

But we'll see how much time I will have to invest in learning it.
However, thank you again for your sincere help and advice! 😀
