Watercolor Practice After Watching A Tutorial

Hey there! For today’s art, I decided to follow up on one of my posts, where I mentioned that I was going to watch a watercolor tutorial on painting faces. So I did! I watched that of kelogsloops, he’s a really popular artist. While watching the video I got hit with de ja vu, apparently I’ve watched it before lol. I painted the portrait as I watched the video. It was really nice. I realized the reason I might not have gotten a better result with my first try (Experimenting With Watercolor https://ecency.com/hive-174301/@artby.dara/experimenting-with-watercolor), was because I didn’t paint so many layers. If I’d continued painting, who knows, it might have looked more realistic.

I’m really proud of this piece though, I’m looking forward to trying again also.
