That turned out so fantastic! adding some lily pads to fill in the empty space was such a good choice as they look so well alongside with the koi fish :) and looking at the process of you making this is so inspiring, because i feel like i want to make myself a drawing of koi fish as well lol. Thanks for sharing :D

You should definitely get to work on your own version of a Koi fish. I would love to see the finished product.
I am not sure those lily pads came out the way I expected them too, but that's the way watercolor paintings go.
