Hacía varias semanas que no publicaba nada aquí, y realmente necesitaba volver a esta hermosa comunidad.
Hace unos días pensé en ello, y sentí que era importante dibujar algo un poco más personal para volver con fuerza. Se me ocurrió entonces ilustrar a mi novia, o al menos intentarlo, ya que considero que soy bastante pésimo cuando quiero que un dibujo se parezca a una persona real.
En estos últimos meses ella ha significado demasiado para mí, y me ha ayudado en muchos aspectos de mi vida, por lo que me interesaba intentar ilustrarla.
Una vez explicado esto, me enorgullece decirles que me encantó el proceso, y quedé encantado con el resultado final. Se lo presenté a ella y a mis padres, y todos coincidieron en que eran iguales. Un triunfo para mí.
Es mi primer intento de alabar el amor que rodea mi vida últimamente, y espero que os guste tanto como a mí. ¡Un gran abrazo y a beber mucha agua!
It's been several weeks since I posted anything here, and I really needed to come back to this beautiful community.
A few days ago I thought about it, and I felt it was important to draw something a little more personal to come back with strength. It occurred to me then to illustrate my girlfriend, or at least to try, since I consider I'm pretty lousy when I want a drawing to look like a real person.
In these last few months she has meant too much to me, and has helped me in many aspects of my life, so I was interested in trying to illustrate her.
Having explained this, I am proud to tell you guys that I loved the process, and was delighted with the end result. I presented it to her and my parents, and they all agreed that they were alike. Triumph for me.
It's my first attempt to praise the love that surrounds my life lately, and I hope you like it as much as I do. Big hugs and drink lots of water!
Step by Step:
Primero empecé dibujando un boceto rápido, tomando como referencia para su cara una de las fotografías que tengo de ella.
No suelo dibujar realismo y, aunque sabía desde el principio que no sería una ilustración realista, mi objetivo principal era que su cara se pareciera lo más posible a la suya. Continué entonces, definiendo su pose y su expresión.
First, I started by drawing a quick sketch, taking as a reference for her face one of the photographs I have of her. I don't usually draw realism and although I knew from the beginning that this would not be a realistic illustration, my main goal was to make her face as close to hers as possible. I continued then, defining her pose and expression.
Después de haber definido claramente los rasgos principales de su cara, decidí hacer el lineart para pulir los detalles.
Así corregí varios detalles que no me gustaban del boceto original, preparando la ilustración para empezar con el coloreado.
After having clearly defined the main features of her face, I decided to make the lineart to polish details. That's how I corrected several details that I didn't like from the original sketch, preparing the illustration to start with the coloring.
Y finalmente coloreé un fondo abstracto, tomando como referencia los fondos de la serie animada "Steven Universe" que me encanta, y agregué mi firma.
And finally I colored an abstract background, taking as reference the backgrounds of the "Steven Universe" animated series that I love, and added my signature.
