Greetings Hivers! These months I have been practicing with various illustration techniques to gain more experience in the area. In this opportunity I want to show you two works that I did some days ago, one I did with ballpoint pen and the second one with color pencils, for that moment I used a photograph of myself as a reference to illustrate both works.
Personally, I usually use the grid as a guide to draw, it is a way to correctly place the elements and proportions of the drawn object, I usually use an HB pencil to sketch the base structure, the idea is to make light strokes without resting the pencil sharply on the sheet, this avoids damage and allows a good finish on the work.

¡Saludos Hivers! Estos meses he estado practicando con varias técnicas de ilustración para ganar más experiencia en el área. En esta oportunidad quiero mostrarles dos trabajos que realicé hace algunos días, uno lo hice con bolígrafo y el segundo con lápices de colores, para ese momento utilicé una fotografía mía como referencia para ilustrar ambos trabajos.
Personalmente, suelo utilizar la cuadrícula como guía para dibujar, es una forma de colocar correctamente los elementos y las proporciones del objeto dibujado, suelo utilizar un lápiz HB para esbozar la estructura base, la idea es hacer trazos ligeros sin apoyar el lápiz bruscamente en la hoja, esto evita daños y permite un buen acabado en el trabajo.
One of the goals I set for myself when I started was to last illustrating for as little time as possible, I lasted approximately 6 hours, I got up first thing in the morning because it is a much quieter time for this type of work.
Uno de los objetivos que me propuse cuando empecé fue durar ilustrando el menor tiempo posible, dure aproximadamente 6 horas, me levanté a primera hora de la mañana porque es un momento mucho más tranquilo para este tipo de trabajos.
To create the self-portrait with the colored pencil technique, I used four tones and distributed them according to my own criteria, it is an interesting way that helps to stimulate creativity.
Para crear el autorretrato con la técnica del lápiz de color, utilicé cuatro tonos y los distribuí según mi propio criterio, es una forma interesante que ayuda a estimular la creatividad.
One important thing I learned during the activity is that we should keep going and finish what we are doing, regardless of whether it looks good or not, because sometimes people like me get frustrated when we see that things are not going the way we want them to and we leave them half done. But as I said, the important thing is to keep moving forward.
Una cosa importante que aprendí durante la actividad es que debemos seguir y terminar lo que estamos haciendo, independientemente de que se vea bien o no, porque a veces la gente como yo nos frustramos cuando vemos que las cosas no van como queremos y las dejamos a medias. Pero como dije, lo importante es seguir avanzando.
