Reginald Spike was ready to hit the links. Tho the caddies would snigger behind his back that his plus fours were so bloused on his bouncy frame, they looked more like bloomers.

Reginald took no notice of caddies, tho he tipped them well. In his line of work, you never knew where your next lead might be. From the lowliest boot boy to the local gentry, everyone was, could be , or might lead to custom. And Reginald Spike was a man of business.

Having worked his way up from an odd jobber to sales boy at the local boot and shop emporium, he'd found himself now an owner of "Spikes Haberdashery & Notions" and the ladies from 3 counties bought his wares for dressmaking and home.

He'd just opened his third location and he'd reward himself with a new tie pin. for now, he'd saunter onto the links at the local Golf club and see what was what and who was who and size up the day.

Yes, to Reginal Spike, self made man, all those in the world were possibilities and customers.

More and more of my little fellows are finding their way onto my page. What started as a diversion to my morning studio time, has come to be the part I most look forward to in the morning.

A gif of some of the layers of color.

I even find them slipping into my thoughts as I go on my morning ramble. As if they've come along with me to give comment on this or that. It's funny how the things we create can have such life.

I think that is why being an artist has a bit of playing at GOD in it...one feels making something from nothing and calling up creatures from the clay of the earth is possible. Tho, of course, my humble little dribs and drabs are hardly heavenly, more like an enjoyable diversion in the studio.

Thank you for joining me again today and indulging me in my sharing of these little creatures. I hope you find a moment in your day to indulge in your own passions.
