An imagined house on a bluff over looking the sea

I'm lucky to live on the sea. I'm surrounded by Summer homes and cottages that can often sit blank and empty for most of the year. The quiet but poignant lonliness of a Summer house in Winter has always intrigued me.

I wanted the sky and view to have a painterly feel one could feel the brush strokes, like the movement of clouds on a sea breeze.

I wanted a Cezanne-esque approach to the land in patches of color and squared line.

To Get that approach in the sketch I used straight lines as a starting point.

Admittedly at this stage it looks a bit like a barn floating on a block of ice out at sea, haha.

I'm hoping, with my new schedule, to keep a Tuesday thru Sunday posting, we shall see. Goals and new year and all that.
